VIBE Newbie!

Post by ejm »

Hello all, I just picked up my vibe yesterday...It is a base model loaded up with all the goodies and a 5 speed. So far I think it is a pretty cool vehicle...The wife loves it! Is there any important stuff we should know about this car? I know I would like to get a rubber cargo liner for the trunk so if anybody know where to get one of these at a reasonable price please let me know. Thank You in advance for your response. Eddie

Welcome to the Vibe world, its an awsome place. If your looking for a rear cargo holder, don't buy the GM one, $$$ for something not worth it. The cargo net though works very well however. What colour is your Vibe? Mine is a fusion base 5spd and I'm loving it. As we demand from all new members show us pics! For things to watch for, not really a whole lot coming to mind. I haven't had any probs with my own.

Welcome aboard, ejm! I have a two-tone Neptune as well. I may be partial when I say it, but great choice in color! I'm sure you'll love the Vibe, they are great cars.

Yeah here's a warning for you:DON'T GET WAX ON THAT GRAY CLADDING!!!I did about a year ago, I'm STILL working to get it off. When you wax your car, use masking tape along the edge of the lower cladding to protect it from wax. Then make sure you also don't get it on the door handles or the trim piece on the rear hatch that has the handle behind it.
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
