increase S/C boost

Post by teammonkeys »

I need to have some confirmation on this.... If I were to install a bigger engine drive polley, will this make my S/C increase boost? If so, do i need to replace my blow off value or adjust it?I really don't know how to adjust it.

yes, but a larger engine pulley will underdrive everything connected to it.its much easier to get a smaller supercharger pulley. oathrocks and raamaudio had some made up over bat matrixowners.com. but the only dyno so far yielded about five hp .on a sc corrolla with cia its might work better with water injection i think larry was testing this out.you dont have a blowoff valve and you wont have to modify the actuator or anything for that matter, except mabey a new belt and some fine tuning if you got a air fuel controller which i reccomend.
look my sniggies, i had a strizz-oke in my brizz-ain okay, you know what im saying. so i cant move all good. but thanks for mentioning that .thank you very much.athf4evr. click here! you know you want to!!!

I would just add that you wouldnt want to go go over 10 psi with the eaton roots blower anyway..It would heat up too much, but having said that, 10 psi might be a good goal..

one was tested on a rolla and only gained like 5psi probably cause of the heat. larry was sposed to be testing one with water injection which should help.(i think he did and is hiding the results j/k!)

I am pobably going to slaughter my facts a little, but I believe the eaton roots comes in sizes M45 , then M62, then M90. Ours is the m45. I would like to see some one put on the M62 as it is larger.Whith the the larger SC, you could flow more air per same rpm or more air at a lower rpm , in which you would make less heat , with the same amount of air. There is a guy over at Spyderchat who has one of the larger Eaton SC's that has been modified so that instead of being driven by a belt with a pulley;it has hooked up to it 3 electric motors. He has not installed it yet. It is in process. He is adding some batteries, and the thing can only come on for about 15 seconds at a time, which is long enough to get him down the track in the 1/4 mile. And is long enough for most bursts of speed. It will be activated At wot. This thing will not be like those E-ram fans, but intead will be the same as the eaton blower. It will need fuel management. The thing I am curious about , is wondering what kind of gains he will get with the larger Eaton SC , on the same 1zz motor. Also , the cool thing about this set up (if it works) , is that it will be easy to disassemble to put on his next car, what ever it may be.
