Scratched my new painted rims... aargh!!

Just got my new HP Racing Gunmental Vortex rims last week and today I happened to accidenatlly rub the side of a high curb and... I heard it, I could even feel it. I was afraid to look but I had to. One of the spokes is really scratched and the paint is gone. One of the other spokes is lightly scratched. This really bums me out. Brand new rims and now I have to look at the scratches.Has anybody ever touched up their painted rims? Has anybody ever refinished ther rims? Any experience with HP Racing rims?Damn I'm so pissed off at myself. I can't believe this happened... they're only one week old.Alex

I feel you pain man. I was cleaning my car yesterday and found a neat little spot on the chrome of my gunmetal rims that seemed to have been worn off... I don't know from what though. Thankfully its a small little spot and hopefully doesn't spread.

You're SOL. Sometimes to fix a painted rim, it's almost as much as buying another one. I doubt there is anything you can do to totally fix it...try doing something yourself and you could make it worse. I did the same thing to my boyfriends Mille Miglia's Action Sports, his are painted gunmetal as well. A little too close to a curb downtown and Welcome to Scratchville, population you. Boy was he pissed... My advice? You should park a little more carefully next time. I am super careful with my wheels.
