I have a buddy who swears by Lucus Oil Stabilizer and keeps telling me to put in my Vibe GT. I went to Autozone and talked to them about it and they said to that alot of guys use it in their cars. From what I have been told is that it bonds to the engine parts so there are no dry start ups and when engine parts are moving it spider webs off the moving parts to other parts instead of just dripping to the pan. All you do is replace one quart of oil for the stabilizer.I bought a bottle for $6.99 at Autozone. I am thinking this would work good with the fact that our engine redlines so high. I will keep everyone posted.

Love that site and I also highly recomend it, again. I use Lube Control based on some of the results found there. Check out the discussions about cotton filters like the K&N.

Hey there all....new member here and i thought i would post a thought on this:I looked at the article too and had to wonder.....what RPM was he spinning the gears at? I mean, of course oil is going to froth up if it was designed to be used in a 7000 RPM application and is spun to way more than that.......just a thought.
I think ha's done enough to show a problem wth this stuff. Motor oil has less antifoam additive than gear oil. If you want an additive to use with M1 go back to the site and check out Schaeffers 132 additive for protectionn and/or Lube Control for solvency to keep dirt in suspension.

You should make a copy of the article and hand it to the guy at the store that recommended this junk.These guys selling additives are a bunch of con artists. Engine oils are created at such high standards these days, with detergents, additives, etc. there's no reason you can't buy quality oil, change it regularly, and get the maximum performance out of your engine.
I was recently at the local Napa dealer and played with their display of the Lucas stuff.They have a plastic display with numerous gears meshed together which you can spin and watch how the Lucas stuff "clings" to the gears better than conventional oil.I had already seen/read the test that's been posted above so I decided to play a little myself. I spun the gears as fast as I could while I counted to 10 (simulating 10 seconds). I first spun the gears in the conventional oil, then the Lucas stuff.The test above is leggit. As strong and quick as I am, I know there's no way in Hades I'm able to spin that gizmo anywhere near 1,000 RPM, and even so, there was a substantial amount of froth in the Lucas stuff compared to the conventional oil. Granted, the Lucas stuff did cling to the gears better than the conventional oil, and they both had some froth, but the Lucas side easily had twice as much froth accumulated inside than the conventional oil. I was shocked.If that happens with me spinning the gears as fast as I can with my bare hands, imagine how much froth accumulates even at idle.
