Using the Aux option on factory radio

Post by kaimone »

I am looking at purchasing an ipod to install on my 2003 vibe. I was wondering how and if it is possible to tap into the aux option straight from the player?

welcome to genvibe! and you've come to the right place to ask your questions. if you use the search feature and enter ipod, there are numerous threads about how to install the ipod... now i don't have a clue, but took the liberty to help steer you in the right direction. ipod users: how do you mount it in your vibe how to install ipod? new alpine hu to offer true ipod integration! hope those help you out!

The answer seems to be that unless you have the DVD NAV system, the only way to hook up an iPod is either a FM transmitter or Fm modulator. (or replace the head unit) AUX input is covered pretty well in http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=910there are lots of threads about the AUX input, but since a bug in the search function returns zero results for three letter words (like AUX) it can be hard to find them.welcome to genvibe. be sure to check out the Florida forum too. Seems like those Florida vibers are always planning something
