Can anyone help me?..what is the difference between the catback systems between the vibe and the vibe G.T? Also the same question with a short ram? I have both on my base vibe and am thinking of purchasing a G.T can I convert? my cat back is a week old and my short ram is 2mths old???
Unfortunately, you cannot convert the base Vibe intakes or exhaust over to a GT. If you look at the part numbers for the base and the GT for those components, you will see that they are different. So if you go with a GT, you will have to buy the parts again. The best thing you can do is take them off of your Vibe and sell them here. There are plenty of members looking for those parts for their Vibe. Good luck!

Quote, originally posted by slingblade »are you sure that it can't be modified, their can't be too much difference between the two?from reading thru the countless threads over and over again regarding the exhaust and intakes, NO. the GT intake has an extra hose for the VVTL-I engine that the VVT-I engine doens't have. plus, the 04 GT's have a little different restrictions so you couldn't even use an intake from an 03 on an 04 GT. AFAIK, there is only one place that makes a CAI for teh 04 GT and that's Cosmo? someone can correct me if i'm wrong.the exhaus also is different from what i understand. but i'm sure that one of the more technical guru's can explain that. so, you are much better off to sell your parts and use that money towards new ones for the GT.
It's a 2003 GT, with 7,500 miles on it. I would modify if possible, my magnaflow catback has been installed for 8 days..and my K&N typhoon is only 6weeks old.
i'd sell your typhoon intake, shuld be pretty easy on here... won't fit the GT. and ask about the exhaust in the other forum... you'll get a better result for that specific question.
