http://community.webshots.com/...YqVMVUsing the same camera on a tripod - I shot these from a beach. Obviously no sun, but pitch black darkness is probably harder to focus that bright light. I just set the manual focus override to "infinity" since the fireworks were so far away. No flash, and I used an exposure time of around 2 seconds per shot.
