Safc install, with new wiring diagram

Post by VibeGt6speed »

I tried to wire up my safc by using the celica diagram! this just didnt work the plugs were completely different. So thanks to APC matrix and Black bag from matrixowners I was able to install the unit using a matrx XRS diagram in my GT 6 speed. Im pretty sure this is the first diagram for the trix/vibe, I made it because the celica one does not work. Its a little late and i will have to double check my connections and the accuracy of the diagram but all is well right now with my vibe. Anyways im still trying to figure out the basic settings on the safc but everthing works Here is the diagram i will have to double check its accuracy tomorow but im pretty sure its good to goagain thumbs up to apc matrix, and blackbag of matrix owners for the help

The SAFC is not the Unichip. Does some similiar things, but not to the extent of the Unichip. I've actually read that the stock computer overrides the settings programmed into the SAFC, rendering it useless.Let us know if you get some dynos done. This would also be the best way to get it tuned to your car correctly. Then take it back in a month or so and see if it has went back to stock settings. The PowerFC would be the best option. MWR offers pretuned modules for the 2ZZ.Congrats on the install! Hope it works out!

the power fc uses the celica harness ,same problem as above.you really need a dyno to tune with any air fuel controller, good luck.

I'm sure they'd be willing to set one up for MAtrix/Vibe crowd.

It would be nice to have other options other then the Unichip. Not saying the Unichip is bad......just options are always good for the consumers.
