best way to convert from usd to cad is $1.33 cad to $1.00 usd. so, if you take $320 and divide by 1.33 or multiply by .75 it will be $240 USD. but yes, that does seem kinda high.

i just checked out ptuning.com and they have injen intakes w/ free shipping for $223 USD and $216 USD for the vibe including the polished one. plus, if you tell them you're from gvc or mo.com they will give you a 5% discount! that'll bring down prices to $205.20-$211.85 USD w/ free shipping. that's cheaper than what this other place is giving you. that works out to be approx $272.92-$281.76 CAD + GST

I have found that the prices in the US are a lot cheaper than here but once you figure in shipping and all the brokerage fees it works out to be about the same. UPS charges an arm and a leg for it... as does Fedex.

OK... you figure $215x1.33= $285.95CDN $285.95 x 1.07GST = $305.9665Plus Shipping and Brokerage... Let's say $15USD to ship... $19.95CDNBrokerage is approx $30 thru UPS.So... $355.96Please correct me if I'm wrong. If we get 5+ people in my group buy it's $337.05I'll talk to my guy and see if he can do better... but to me it seems reasonable.

I don't think it would be easy to bring them back.

Hey, if we can get cheap drugs from Canada, why shouldn't you be able to get cheap CAIs from US? Seems fair.Speaking of fair...If you don't get five people, the cost is CAN $342.40. And anyone outside of Edmonton or Calgary will have to add another $10-15. Just trying to keep apples-apples here. I wonder if a border crossing would work...that Michigan super meet isn't far off (in both time and distance).

yes, when i moved to VA, we took 10 dish size boxes w/ us. you can take the CAI units out of the box. most of it is shipping/packing material. i still have my box and have the factory air box, and a bunch of other car related parts in it. it's lightweight too. you can get a dish pack and put them all in one and check it on the plane. you get 2 pieces to check in and 1 carry on, plus a purse/laptop. or ship it from MI if you have to.. just a thought.

Over the past few years, retailers have gotten a lot better at charging "properly" (and the CCRA at monitoring it) for goods traveling over the border. Once the USD is converted into CDN, you have to add the GST, brokerage and shipping costs to EVERYTHING. JC's calculations are accurate above. So, the deal is good for us Canadians, but makes no sense for US people. That's just the price we pay for living in the best country in the world (ducks to avoid flames) .Plus, to me, the convenience factor of having JC work hard and getting the deal together so I don't have to shop around for something I know nothing about: priceless.

no, we know that, jackie. just trying to figure out a way so you guys aren't having to pay so much damn tax and fees! yeesh!!!! phil should buy his and have it sent to rasermon or ragingfish from ptuning. then mike or rich can bring it to the meet and we can install it there. and same thing for carrie, but she'd have to bring hers back w/ her. what do you guys do when you buy clothes or souvenirs and bring them back from the US? you gotta pay all kinds of taxes on that stuff too??? guess i can't complain about shipping costs to alaska anymore! but i have a client that's a customhouse broker for us-can. i'll ask her how it all works out.

YOu can only mark something as a gift with a value of less than $60... so if you were to insure your cai at $60 that would be a big risk to you if it was to get damaged or lost you would only get $60 back.

Without paying for shipping cause I an go pick it right up from the store. I can get a polished Cold Air Intake from AEM brand for $298 including filter and oil for it. Its the same thing as Injen in design, only difference is the price and availablity.

AEM and Injen are not alike... from my experience (I have AEM)... Injen fits better. I also got a CEL from my AEM intake and the injen owners did not.$298 tax in? Or do you have ot add GST and PST on that price?

AEM has now come out with a V2 intake and I think what they changed was the placement of the MAF. So I think that helped. Also I had to cut a lot when I put the intake in... I had to cut the wheelwell to get it to fit. When we installed CC's intake it fit great. 4 hours for the AEM vs. 90 minutes on the injen...So your AEM is the same price as the injen that I can get for you... it's totally up to you which way you go.

Why not get the Cosmo Racing piece instead? Way cheaper, made in Canada, shipped from Canada and from doing some reading, it is a very decent piece if not better than most.http://www.cosmoracing.com/productlist.asp?cid=148
