Valves, lift bolts, etc

Post by dmitri »

Well, i have 20k miles on my car in just under a year I race sometimes and hit lift waaay too much lol. My clutch and everything still feels good. How are the valves, timing, and all of the valvetrain in this car? does anything need to be adjusted or checked or maintained if the car is driven hard? Also, i heard about the bolts that engage lift going bad. should i check these? lift still feels like its hitting hard but i like to be safe.

The lift bolt was improved just before Toyota strted putting them in Vibes. You'll know when it's broke and I don't think anyone knows when to replace the newer ones as a preventative. The rest should still also be good for a long time.
Vibe GT, TRD springs, Progress bar, STB, Unichip, Borbet E 16x7.5, 225/50 Bridgestone RE750, beefed up grounds and battery bypass capacitors(had em laying around)
