easy shifter know dress up

Post by goss »

some red touch up paint accents the shifter knob nicely, I was shopping for replacements and got this idea, never noticed how plain the stock shifter looks until I finished. prep the surface with alcohol and a clean rag, the brush on touch up bottles is too clumsy, I did this painting using the tip of an x-acto razor blade to dab small drops of paint into the grooves and the paint just sort of fills in the channels, go slow and if you mess up just wipe it off and start over, takes about 15 minutes [IMG][/IMG]

Good idea, looks very good! Reminds me of shop back in middle school. We'd stamp aluminum and fill the creases with paint to make little dog tags.
