Not that I've heard of yet. I don't know that going that high would produce much more benefit, though I must admit that I can feel the difference between 92 and 93 octane when in lift. In some parts stores around here, you can buy a product called Octane 108 or something like that that is supposed to be able to boost your octane rating to 108 if you add the can (or actually half the can for the Vibe tank size I think) to the gas tank before filling at the pump. I would put some in my Grand Prix once in a while and the engine definately felt a bit stronger. Did better burnouts with it, too.

they dont sale anything higher then 91 in vegas, 100 oct is the next step up. I dont really like to add any additives to the gas but if the 100 oct wont kill the engine i might try it

I poured a big bottle of that octane booster in the '90 Cutlass Supreme I had back in high school. After the fact, I read the label: "One bottle treats two tanks." Oops! That thing ran great though!I filled up my base Vibe with some 94 octane Sunoco the other day. It seems to like that stuff, or at least, I think it seems to like it. Could all be in my head. They have 100 octane out in Nevada? Wow!

100 octane won't do any more than 93 or so. But save some dough and mix 25% 100 with your 91 and your good to go on the cheap.

put in a 90/10 mix of 91 and 100 oct and noticed the GT boggs a little more then with just the 91, I think the arcticle is correct once the car is performing optimal there will no change in power...

I went to Pep Boys a couple days ago and they have this additive that says it can boost up to 20HP when added to the gas tank. Dont know if it works but it said its safe to use on every vehicle and will not harm the catalic convertor.

blk182@n7, you only raised the octane to less than 92 with that mix. It's why I recomended 25% 100 octane which would put you at 93.25 octane. If the octane rating you made was a problem, half the country would have it. Something else is up. Where are you getting the 100 octane? With the octane boosters at part stores you get less than a point and they are usually overpriced toluene which has an octane rating of 114 and costs $2.50 gal. without the marketing. 60 oz of toluene in 10 gal of 91 gas will be 92 octane. 1 can does very little.http://www.elektro.com/~audi/audi/toluene.html

For the past few weeks now, I too have been going to Sunoco and filling up with 94 octane. For the extra few cents a gallon, it seems to get a little better gas mileage. Seems well worth it too me.

I wish I had the documentation to prove it, but I read, I think in the local paper. That after being tested, Sunoco had the worst gasoline (advertised octane actually a little bit higher than actual) But through experience, I have noticed that Sunoco gas does not run as well in the Vibe. Marathon and 76 have been the best.

I consistently go to BP to fill up on my GT. Cityish driving has left me hovering around 20-22 MPG. My other choices are "no-name" fillups, BJ's, and Sam's Club stations, as well as Shell.
