No internet...SUCKS.

So I finally got my own apartment last week (big YAY there)... But I'm unable to get broadband as of yet... Why? Because Comcast sucks. They upgraded the underground wiring at the apartment complex I moved into about two weeks ago, and haven't told their computers that the service is available yet. And the independant contractor that the complex calls is a freaking slacker... I've called him four times, talked to him twice, and he keeps telling me he'll call back with info! (removed)?!I'd do DSL, but I don't need a landline, and don't want to spend extra money for a service half as fast.. GAH. So right now i've been connecting (though briefly) with my cellphone...which has a max speed of 14.4k.Thus...I haven't been seen around much...So here's to hoping for a quick broadband connection...

I'm moving tomorrow and will be without internet until possibly Tuesday. I don't know how I'll cope! Maybe I'll walk to work to get my daily surfing fix.

I hope your cell has unlimited service if you are using it to connect, especially at those speeds! Nothing is quick at 14.4. I use just plain old dialup. DSL isn't available where I am for some untold reason. Verizon just has decided it won't work, even though I am close enough to the switch and their phone lines in the area have been upgraded. They are just lazy. Adelphia offers an even better cable internet connection, but they rape you for it, and I can stand to wait a little longer on dialup and have food to eat rather than give more money to those money sucking jerks (Adelphia screwed Buffalo royally with their bankruptcy and change of management, and are about to do it again!)
