Agreed. I don't want an AEM or INJEN if I can get something a bit cheaper. Plus that Metallic Blue makes me moist! Stock # for Base intake is 69-8600TB. But there was no picture or price, so I mailed them to see what they say. Bet Derek already has this covered though. Found other vehicles with the typhoon intake around $250-$300. So its unlikely that they will be cheaper.

Check to make sure but I think the K&N is only a short ram. Inever liked short rams because they don't suck in cold air but they still got a improvement over stock.More research is needed on your part before a purchase is made.

From what I've seen, the K&N products have all been really expensive compared with products from other companies.

I do NOT want a short ram, so if that is all that they make for the Vibe, I'm not buying.

Using the direct links from K&N site, Martel Bros seems to be the only one with stock and price on these. Their price for the K&N Typhoon for all Vibes is $227.50 with free shipping.

has anyone gotten a picture of one of these yet? I've looked all over K&N's website and all the linked online retailers.

If you use this short ram air intake or any other manufacturer, couldnt you just use some heat exchange tubes ( like the ones used in old VW's,bendable alluminum )and run it from the a vent in the front bumper of the car up to the intake filter, assuming you have the air filter which is open at the top? It should suck all kinds of air in.What do you guys think? Looking for solutions.-Marcos-

Just received the K & N Typhoon Short Ram today. Won't have time to install it for a week or better. I did eyeball the instructions. I am impressed with the pictures and details. Bought it from Martel Bros. at $227.50 period. Got here in 4 days ! Was shipped from the K & N in Mira Loma, California USA. Very fast shipping !

Couldn't wait. Installed it today and took it for a short test drive. WOW ! Definitely has some "ummph" now". More of a "throaty" sound from under the hood. Gits up and goes down the road a lot quicker ! I think it even made the stereo sound better ! Well worth the money. I sure like the looks of that RAM air hood tho. So the wife is happy I did this and not the hood. I win !!!!

Sorry. No pics at this time. It's not much different than the standard photos at the top of this page you're reading. Typhoons for the Vibe come in 4 colors. Red, Blue, Silver, and Polished. I opted for the polished. I've only had it on the road for that short test drive. Hunting elk means I've been driving the truck.

Here's another wife training tip. When she starts taking you for granted, just send her off to spend some time around some REAL a*@holes. She'll start to think that you're really pretty good ! Here's another. My wife (an RN) brings her check home to me. She's just tickled that I pay the bills, etc. She gets whatever she wants,....and so do I ! Toys !
