Well, for the one thousand time, we had to take our Alero to the dealership for a problem. This has to be the worst car ever made. Well, we got a Mercury Mountaineer to drive until the car is ready. So i decided to put a nice SUV to good use while i had it. HAHAHAHAHAHA.
I couldn't find enough mud, i took it out to a old softball field, that has tons of ruts and little mud puddles. It has not really rained for a few days, so i did what i could.
Hey, i was not trying to get the thing stuck, that would be kinda hard to explain "Well i was just trying to goto a softball game and, Oh that is no longer a softball field, I see!"
Well, there is this place called Devil's Den RD, and there are some crazy mud holes there. I know of a guy with 44" Super Swamper Boggers that got stuck in a hole down there. That is just crazy.
well, i used to love mudding in my truck! only got it stuck once in the mud.. but we pushed it out. i always enjoyed pulling out other people from the ditch.

That must have been one hell of a rut!! She's not terribly tall so she must have bounced up about 3 feet to hit her head off of the roof! Ouch!

I can hear the conversation:You: "Yeah, I've come in to pick up my Alero"Dealer: "Yessir. It's ready. The Cashier has the paperwork."You: "Great. Thanks."(one hour later, your phone rings)Dealer: "Hey, where's the loaner we gave you?"You: "Stuck"Dealer: "Stuck." Dealer: "(When it finally registers) STUCK??? Where?"You: "Oh, about 1500 yards south of the highway, in the creekbed..."Dealer: " OH #$%^&*(, not AGAIN!" (Dealer makes mental note not to use trade-in SUV's as loaners in the future.)

True story for you. In 94 I bought a brand new cavy. Within a month I found that it had a cracked seal and water was collecting on the floor behind the passenger's seat. After three unfixed visits and not having my brand new car for weeks I was a little steamed. You guys are gonna love this. Guess what they gave me as a loaner car for having the warranty work done?A 1987 Chevy Nova with a 127000 miles on it that was in serious need of a new muffler.I treated the car well on the first two visits, by the third I figured I was justified to beat the hell out of it.1st beating: 45 miles per hour down 7 miles of rutted and pocked dirt road. I remember seeing a huge ditch coming up and slamming on the brakes. Didn't help cause I was on ice. Can you say airborne!?2nd beating: Same dirt road, all mud this time. The kind that if you stop - you're stuck. For 7 miles the floor of the car dragged on the road.I gave them the car back brown. It was white when I got it. The funny thing. My Dad said the dealer was still using it 5 years later. The moral of this story:Cars from NUMMI are tough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It looks very stanage to me to see this SUV...This is a Ford Explorer with a Mercury shell. Too bad Ford decided to stop selling Mercury product over here.BTW, even when we had Mercury dealer, we haven't had Mountaineer... And nice shoot!! But I'm sure you can make better
Having the car oiled before you take it back to dealer to have same problem fixed for the third time. It's called INCENTIVE!!!! not see it back for the forth time

Yes, they are just an Explorer with leather seats and a softer suspension. Also a higher pricetag, too. Also, great story there, MailGuy! Got a good laugh out of me.

Here we has this edition with leather seat and some other more luxury stuff then the regular Explorer.
when you take the car back trashed ,they(dealer ), will give you a ****ty aveo next timethats ok some tech is out beating the (removed) out of your car ,hehe
I don't know, if you did get it stuck in some deeper mud just imagine the look on his face when you go in the next day and say...(in an innocent voice)"Your Mountaineer is sitting in a field on Hwy 24 about 2 miles out of town." "For such an expensive car the 4WD isn't that good, it couldn't even get through 2 foot deep mud puddles." "I am not impressed."
I used to own a mountaineer before the Vibe- i think the car was really good off road- In the cars last months it got beat to hell offroading and loading things- i never had a problems getting it stuck
