Sideswiped!

Post by StampedeVibe »

I was driving to my gf's place this morning, so I could watch the game tonight (Go Canucks!). I was going east on Kensington, just east of Crowchild, and whammo! Someone didn't check their blind spot, and sideswiped me. Fortunately, he wasn't going too fast, and it looks like there's just panel damage. It just snowed here recently, so the Vibe is kinda dirty. I'll take it to a car wash and take some pics. I have to admit, minus the scratches and creaky door, the Vibe side panels seem to have held up incredibly well. We'll see how much the damage cost.

You can't be very popular with the locals.Anyways I'm glad to hear no one got hurt. I hope your Vibe gets fixed soon.

I'm originally from Vancouver, so I grew up cheering for the Canucks. The parade of Calgary fans into my office only occurs the day after the Flames win. Curiously, today, no one has stopped by.

Ouch..... that's even worse than my situation. In Montreal, everyone is a hockey fan (virtually).

Here are the pics. Again, the damage isn't too bad all things considered.Another thing, I NEARLY got sideswiped again. This time on the other side. Some lady didn't check her blind spot. Good thing I swirved and leaned on the horn! I guess April has been a bad month for my Vibe!

I thought about putting a Canuck sticker on my car. I'm 99% sure it would be safe, but it's the drunk 1% that I'm worried about. So, my hockey preferences will not be stated. Last one.

I had my winter steelies on, so I didn't have any hub caps on. I just put my 16" alloys back on. It's a good thing he didn't smack me with those on!

That's a lot of moolah Shouldn't the other guy or his insurance have to cover it though? On one of my road trips to Canada, an old woman in a gold, rusty van came inches from sideswiping my Vibe. The next day I left the hotel bright and early to avoid traffic, and I came up behind the same color of van, gold, rusty, dirty. I was thinking "This is some crazy deja vu." and then the van came close to sideswiping me AGAIN! And yup.. as I sped up to pass it (I didn't feel like staying behind/beside such a poor driver) it was the same crazy old woman.
