I'm thinking I might do that..finding a base '03 here will be tough...a GT would be really tough to snag.

I'd certainly hook you up with a SC at my cost when I can get that all figured out Carrie. However Hope she wants a manual base Vibe... shifting thrill.Greatness is always tampered with... bye bye cool 03-04 look... Last july though I was still able to order the 03 if I wanted to if I did not want the fusion. Since I did, I had to order a 04. Oh well...

I'm glad I didn't hold out for color on my '03. I got it in July, so it was hard enough finding a GT in New Jersey. Even harder finding a GT with the Nav system! So the options I got weren't exactly what I wanted...17" Wheel upgrade - Glad I got it, I can't imagine the look of the car with the 16"s now.Security system - A joke, I added a Viper in December, just added a proximity sensor so I can leave my windows open in the summer and not worry about the alarm not going offPower package - Yeah, I'm a total gearhead, how could I not?Nav system - Previous statement, and at the time, it was $3000 for a full-on-aftermarket-Nav. Now it'll be $2000 for the Pioneer AVIC-N1. Dissapointed? Nope.I got it in Lava, and I wanted Satellite. Again, can't complain. The red really grew on me in the first few days...As long as they don't screw it up like they did the Aztek, hopefully the Vibe will have a long, happy life...

Sounds about right. Usually they will wait for the summer shutdown of a plant a little longer, but they probably need to do a little re-tooling for the body changes and will want to ramp up for the 05's as soon as possible, especially with the changes.Oh well, maybe the new changes will look better in person than they do in pics.
Doh! That sucks! I was considering ordering a '04 at the end of summer! Crap! No way I want that '05! BAH! Maybe the SAABaru "WRX", I mean "9-2X" wagon will be out by the time I'm ready to get a new ride. A WRX with a GM employee discount! Can't beat it! Kinda like the "Toyota" I'm driving now! more shots/video here: http://194.18.30.201/92x/main_v2.html
I saw the 05 at NYAS...I'm on the fence. It wasn't nearly as horrendous in person as it is in the shots, plus in black it looks decent...but I'm still not sure I'd buy it...
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
That Saab is soooo sweet! (and I never thought I'd live to actually like a Saab!)

The Saab 9-5 turbo convertible caught my eye when on display in a local mall here. Such a nice looking car! I'd to have one!

Kinda like the "Toyota" I'm driving now!Just watch out on the price. The 9-2X will come standard with the Subaru 2.5L N/A engine, not the 2.0L Turbo out of the WRX. The turbo motor is on a higher trimlevel. Since they seem to be guestimating mid 20's for the 9-2X to start, I am suspicious a turbo is going to be around $30. At that point, you have to wonder whether its not a better deal to get an STi. Maybe not for you if you get a good GMS price, but that really depends on what kind of GMS price they offer, and whether you can get a Saab dealer to sell it at that price! They look promising though, and I cannot wait to see one in person!

There really aren't all that many unique option combinations available. So, you can probably find exactly the '04 you want in stock at a dealer, at least in the States. Every dealer I've visited lately has at least 5 or 6 Bases in stock, and these are small dealers in small-town Indiana. The larger dealers have an assortment of '04 GT's too.Unless it ABSOLUTELY has to be Fusion Orange...

Lots of other threads on the topic (try the SEARCH function), but to make a long story short, the '04's have an emissions air pump added which saps 7 hp.
