Post by DowneastVibe »

Anyone have any problems with headlight covers. I bought some for my Vibe and they dont stay on at all. I sent them back, hopefully just a bad set.

How do the headlights shine through that at night?

In Wisconsin, you can have them on at times when headlights are not required to be turned on (i.e. during the day) you just have to take them off at night, if it's raining, or if it's foggy. Too much work for me, not my thing.

I'm guessing your selling them to Juliana? And headlight covers are allowed in ontario. I had some on my Sunfire but the look they gave the car did little to justify the lack of lighting after dark.

Actually, since I bought two extra headlights from eBay for this project, I have my original housings left over. I plan on painting them here and shipping there

I guess I could pack them up and take them on the plane with me. That would probably be cheaper, but I'd be worried that they could get damaged in transit. I guess I could jut box them up like I am shipping them and declare them at the airport?

you're gonna have a lot to carry with you on the plane! lol... sway bar, headlights... actually, i've got a few things i'm bringing too like seat covers for raging, and some of my painted interior panels so others can check those out.. thinking about bringing my unichip incase someone w/ a cai wants to test it out... don't know. kinda expensive to let go thru airport security. i want to clear out those amber side lenses... anyone know how to do that? i'll try and see if i can find that one cougar w/ the link on it... and then maybe psycho can help me figure out how to take the headlight assembly apart at the meet! i LOVE inexpensive COOL mods!

I can definitely help you remove the headlights, but I think you might have to replace the ambers altogether, unless there's a way to "bleach" them? Is that even possible on that type of plastic?

I bought some from AVS (AutoVentshade). On previous cars I have bought GTS but they are no longer in business.
