More new news – Two Superchargers are now available on Vibe. We now offer a supercharger for both manual and automatic transmissions. Product Part Number Install Time Dealer Invoice MSRP Automatic Super charger 12498927 4.0 hrs $2545.00 $2995.00 Manual Supercharger 12499105 4.0 hrs $2545.00 $2995.00 Has anyone confirmed the SC for the 5-speed manuals? I’ve looked through all the GM press releases and tried the part number on the GM performance part and Accessory websites and nothing. Still says only available for Base automatics. I also talked to two Pontiac parts departments and they came up with nothing with the part number. One gentleman said he doubted they would ever come out with one. When I asked why, he said. “they never do, they have performance part press releases all the time that never become orderableâ€.This whole thing is starting to sound familiar, didn’t we go through this the beginning of the year? Also, the original hold-up on the 5-spd SC was excessive wheel hop to be fixed with revised engine mounts. Has anymore become of this, or did they just dumb down the low end torque to solve it?

Well it sounds like the Canadians are on top of things, good for you. As of now it is not available in the US. When you get the price, ask if it includes the revised engine mounts, or it this will be an additional expense.

This is your parts number for the manual supercharger Part # 12499105. Since this is new information to parts and service, there is a lack of info at the dealerships but I will look into it. Anyone who installed the auto one did not have that "hop" from the mounts to worry about but I'm not sure if that was the issue on the hold up. My Vibe hops when the front wheels spin every now and then without the supercharger lol. I'll see what I can find though but information is so scarce which is sad cause we all have money we want to spend on this but they don't seem to want our money... weird.

This is what I was refering to. It was an update from the Las Vegas SEMA show from early November, 2003. The long wait for the Supercharger for the Base Vibe appears to be finally coming to an end with the current availability of the Automatic transmission kit and very shortly the Manual transmission (5-speed) kit. Minor complications had kept Pontiac from releasing the Manual transmission model due to consumer quality issues. These quality issues, explained by Jim Chandra, Vibe Product Manager at Pontiac, were due to the excessive wheel hop that was encountered during the testing phases. This issue was non-existent on the Automatic transmission models due to its specific design. A revised engine mount, which will eliminate the wheel hop, will be released within the next couple weeks that will enable Vibe owners with the 5-speed transmission to purchase the Supercharger kit.

Very good question, I have not heard of anything about that as far as new released engine mounts. I would find out right away by experience if I could but you can't pay for this Supercharger with Pocket Moths.
