The Vibe's Daddy!

Post by GlenW »

I bought my Vibe's Daddy today...A 2004 Pontiac Aztek Rally (for my wife). So far it's pretty sweet. But the Vibe has just a little more room driving wise than the Aztek though. Anybody else own one?

The Front end is lowered, 17" Chrome wheels, rally badges, embroidered floor mats, chrome exhaust tip, body color front grille. It also has a center console that doubles as a removeable cooler.you know..what silver said.

My wife wanted an Aztek really bad when they first came out. You know, when they had that gray cladding going half way up the body? I told here there was no way unless they match painted that cladding were we getting one. Sure enough, at the NAIAS I seen the next years model with the cladding match painted. She originally wanted the lighter blue that was out in 2002 but we had to settle for the Maple Red Metallic (dark red) instead. She likes it a lot, but it's a little big for my driving taste. We did get the camping package with it and I have to admit that was a lot more comfortable sleeping on that than on the ground.

Congrats on the new Aztek! I am sure you will get plenty of use out of it. I'm one of those not crazy about the outside appearance, but they did a great job on the inside! Enjoy!!

with the 2004 model year you can only get the chrome rims on the rally edition. That's why I got it.

I would prefer not to think of the Asstec as a relative...but congrats! I'm sure you'll enjoy it!

Congrats on the new ride. It's not my cup of tea, but it's like my wife said years ago when I wanted a certain car style and color, "it doesn't matter WHAT it looks like outside when you're driving it, YOU can't see it!"

Still kicking myself in the (removed) for passing up the AWD Aztek. for the Vibe. My wife and I liked the aztec too. We chose not to get it because of poor mileage and not so hot crach test results. To see crash tests of virtually any car, even ones not sold here, go to crashtest.com, if you're interested of course.

Probably would have seriously considered an Aztec, if not for those two things...
