I just bought one and will be installing it tomorrow. It looks like very good quality and well made. The filter is very similar to a K&N cone filter and should be oiled with a K&N recharge kit. If you order one ask them to include 2 bolts for the MAF sensor or you will need to pick them up yourself. Others on Genvibe have been using them for a while with no problems to report so far. No CELs etc.

It is very nice, and it came woth the bolts for the MAF without I asked. This is one of the greatest mod I did to my VibeDitto! excellent product, no CEL's, excellent sound, the bolts were included, and i haven't done a recharge kit on it and i have put 15,000 miles on it with no problems. what is the benefit of the recharge kit? ?

Lifetime use air filters have to be cleaned once in a while. I think K&N suggests once per year or as needed, something like that. So they sell a cleaning kit for the filters. After you clean it, you have to let it dry and apply a special oil to the cotton-like gauze in the filter or the filter won't work.

These a/m filters SHOULD come pre-oiled. The recharge kit is only to re-oil it after it's first cleaning (50k miles?). Cosmo's should also be pre-oiled.
I installed my Cosmo CAI today. It was a little tricky and the instructions a little vague but I got it done. It sounds wicked, looks great and feels more powerful. Also no CEL or other problems.
I'm not sure but I think the Cosmo doesn't come pre-oiled. It's a hidden cost. It's very important that it gets oiled. Oiled filters don't filter quite as well as stock even when wet. Much worse when dry. I'm not flaming K&N here. They and others filter well enough in general when wet and do increase flow. I won't use my drop in in the winter because of all the salt dust.
Vibe GT, TRD springs, Progress bar, STB, Unichip, Borbet E 16x7.5, 225/50 Bridgestone RE750, beefed up grounds and battery bypass capacitors(had em laying around)
I just received my Cosmo CAI today, and I will install it Friday. Unfortunately, I ask a blue one but they send me a red one, saying blue and sylver are back order... I wanted to make all my mod in bleu and silver, I gotta have to change my mind and make it red... naw thanks all for your advise, I will buy today the K&N kit.But what's the CEL you are talking about?
CEL is the warning light that comes on when there is a problem. Check Engine Light. You could strip the paint off the red CAI and buff it. I may do this to mine because it is also red.
You can paint it the color you want if the red CAI bother you too much. And for the CEL question, CEL means Check Engine Light.. The little orange motor cluster in your dash who turn on when you star the car and nomaly turn off after few second, if no trouble is found by the ecm.

Very most of us never has any CEL after installing a CAI.And I think most people who got CEL has GT... Very very few people got CEL on base engine. And as I told you, I have mine for 2 months, ran 2000km and no toruble at all, no CEL, nothing.
I just tried it. OH MY GOD, that's awesome!!!! I had a CEL, but that'S because I switch 2 things, but know everything is good. Can't wait to have my magnaflow cat back!!!
The Warehouse of Cosmo is at Brossard, Sub-Vibe-R bought his directly from there, maybe you can ask him in a IM for the adress, you'll save the 25$ for shipping

Can't wait to have my magnaflow cat back!!!You' like your CAI even better once you add the Magnaflow. It was alittle punchier on the bottom end and a big differance in top end once I bolted up my Magnaflow exhaust. Also I added a Tenzo Racing Power Stack airfilter on my CAI.
DO NOT BUY FROM COSMO.they are the worst at returning comments. They sent me the wrong one, and when I sent it back, they sent it back again, saying I shipped it wrong.. and that's after 2 weeks of me e-mailing them without getting a response

That's nuts, how could any company be that stupid? Oh, I know, they're in Quebec. OOOPS! I live in Quebec.
You bet!! UPS brokerage fees are a huge rip-off. Canada customs charges a flat rate of $5.00 Can., UPS typically charges almost 30% of the stated value of the item. I got a $150.00 US. set of step bars for my truck and UPS charged me $73.00 Can. for tax and brokerage. You have to factor in their extortion rate when buying anything from the States being shipped to Canada or have it shipped by USPS mail.
Ah! Now I understand!UPS is notorious for dinging customers with additional charges, taxes and fees on trans-border shipments. By refusing the shipment, Cosmo doesn't have to pay them. I refuse to do business with US firms that will ship only by UPS! (Started this post before Sunny's, but got interupted by a phone call)
