ECU..Where?

does anyone know where the ecu is located on the base vibe?

the ecu is located under the glove box. you have to remove the glove box and a couple screws to get to it.

i was reading in a magazine...that after you do some engine mods, its probably a good idea to remove the ecu for an hour or so to let it reset..it could give some hrspwr gains....any thoughts?

Just disconnect the battery. No need to remove the entire ECU.
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

See, when i was modded my truck i got instructions to reset the ECU by disconnecting the Neg terminal and turning the key back for 15 seconds. It seemed to work in my truck, not sure if it applies here, just a thought.

when doing engine mods of any kind, you should ALWAYS disconnect the negative battery terminal!
