Mini-RC Cars = Great Christmas Gift....wonder if they will make a Vibe...

Post by Flip-Side »

These mini-RC cars are hot down where I'm at, and they are fun as heck.Wireless, rechargeable, tiny, and pretty dang fast. I stole my little cousin's car and remote and hes not getting it back...its mine now! Here is one of the best places to find them.http://www.sigmaautomotive.com/TechieMon/digiq.html

Radio Shack actually is selling these too under the name Zip Zaps. You can find more info at http://www.zipzaps.com . They even make motors and other parts you can modify the things with. At Radio Shack they run $20 but are hella hard to find since the big work stopage on the West Coast a while back. I guess a bunch of them are out still out on some ships at sea. Hopefully they can get it all straight for the holidays. I know with the Zip Zaps they don't have any other bodies except for ones by Honda, Ford, and Chrysler right now.

I bought one of the ZipZaps from RS; what a riot! I got the F&F upgrade kit, too, which gives you 2 new bodies (Eclipse & RX7), motors, gears, tires, suspension bars, & spoilers. The only problem is that they are only available in two frequencies - some of their competitors (Bit Char-G & Microsizers) have additional freq's available.

Another place to pick these up, in their original Japanese packaging no less, is on Thinkgeek.com: http://www.thinkgeek.com/cubegoodies/toys/5ad6/ They seem to have only a red Toyota MR-2 in stock, but I bought the blue Audi TT several months back. Pricey at $50USD, but if you can't find them anywhere else....

No doubt! I have a growing collection of toys from there (and useful things too), including my glow-in-the-dark power button T-shirt and my SoundBug speakers. I'm just so torn as to whether to actually stick my LNX sticker ON my baby or not....

Thinkgeek is actually the first place I found with the mini-cars...mostly because I love their gizmos and caffiene. Great site. But...it isn't the cheapest place to buy the cars.

My brother in Hong Kong bought my boys one each. I believed he paid US$20-30 for one. Even the brand and box is exactly the same. He bought them early this year.

Got two for my son from http://www.toyeast.com. Got a great price but the shipping was kind of high. These come from Hong Kong. I believe I paid $9.95 each for two cars and $25.00 for shipping.
