i too need computer geek help!

ok heres the thing....i want to upgrade my laptop. anyone know where i can find cheap 512 sd ram 144pin at? also...id like to get a mp3 player but i also want an external HD. are there any MP3 player out there that can also back up my computer? or better yet, what would YOU do?

many of the MP3 players out there are actually hard drives. I don't know how most of them work, but my friend has an ARCHOS one that is actually sold as a hard drive/MP3 player, not just advertised as an excessively large MP3 player. I've hooked it up via USB to my computer a few times and it works really nice. No software needed for that guy, just plug and play.

The RAM, you can find that anywhere.The MP3 Player that I have (Neo Jukebox) can be used as an external HD.

put a new battery in it. you can get them for pretty cheap online if you're willing to put it in yourself. They had a video on TechTV.com showing how to do it.

yeah new batteries in the ipod are supposed to last longer and when they fail you can get a new one for 50 $
