I've always loved sound systems ever since my brother had his first system in his first car - a JL 12 with a 200 watt sony amp in an 88 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Classic. I plan on competing when I get my car dynomatted and tweaked to perfection.

*Cups hand to ear* What? Would you mind speaking up a bit?J/k I don't drive around with the subs thumping all the time, my ears and car would both fall apart if I did that. A kind of funny thing about my system is that when I drive down the street I can set off just about every car alarm around me with it.

So you are going to compete in soundsystems? Are you going to drag bass (think that is what its called)? Its where you have like a whole back end full of speakers and see whos system lasts the longest with varous sound levels/pitches/bases.Ive seen an article here and there on it. Either you have to be rich or sponsered, cause you almost always blow some if not most of yoru speakers.

I'm in the process of getting sponsered by Autolabz, but I'm more into SPL competitions, the loudest with the best quality. I can't stand systems that rattle, squeel, sound like crap, but people like them because they're loud. I like a well-balanced system.
