Help needed on choosing Vibe/matrix

Post by victorzhu »

I would like to get a base Vibe with pwr pkg, safty pkg, and auto($26,590.00), but that is more expensive than a Matrix XR + package B.(MSRP $25,834), and matrix comes with 17' wheel and moonroof, which Vibe ask for another $1900 and MONOTONE EXTERIOR APPEARANCE for another $750(std for a matrix XR + pkgB as well). Can somebody tell me why this could happen. I know GM has 0% financing, but that won't even the difference. Some people is talking about the GM employee discount, so is it possible that I can get that? Some people also mentioned "the full 10% for factory orders or the dealer lot discount", how to get that??? Thanks a lot.

Well a GM discount only really happens if your the son/daughter of a GM employee or work for GM yourself. Now I work for a dealership so I got the Vibe at cost, did some add ones for this and that but since I work there, I didn't get the zero % which does in fact help a lot. See what you can negotiate them with.Personally if you are buying to modify, you may want to buy the Matrix... Vibes are awsome cars but Toyota has more mods like body kits. Supercharger just to name a few.

I don't care about mod, just care about the initial investment. :-)

Well if your looking for a deal as far as money goes. Vibe and Matrix are identical other then appearance... if the Matrix is cheaper, go with that. But thats just my opinion.

And if you previously own a NON GM car, then, I'll be able to get you an additional $1000 off the price! It's a coupon that I'm suppose to be getting at the end of March, which is good at any dealership in CANADA.

Hi 04BlkVibe, I am driving a Dodge Neon. It is hard to believe what you mentioned. Personally I don't like matrix, but it seems to be cheaper. If I can get addition off Vibe, I will go with Vibe for sure. I really want it, how to contact you?

victorzhu: I will only be getting the coupons later this month. Once I get it..then perhaps you can pick it up from me if you're down my area (Markham). pm me w/ your email and I'll email you when I get it.also...in case you weren't aware:Matrix Financing rate = 4.9% vs. Vibe @0% for 48 months.Toyota Grad discount = $500 vs. GM Grad discount = $1000.Don't know why anyone will choose the matrix over the vibe.

victor...go to forbes on weber st and ask for corry. if anyone can get you a great deal, it's him. very up-front and honest...somewhat hard to find these days. also, that dealership is also tied to forbes toyota, and they are allowed to sell toyota vehicles through the pontiac dealer. he can work out costs for both matrix and vibe, and you can easily choose that way. makes it much easier.good luck! IM if you have any questions.

In Canada, the Vibe come with more standard equipements than the Matrix. On your deals, please check a few other things like:- The 115 volts power outlet in the dash- The roof rack- The height ajustment of the driver seat- The fog lights- The front and rear carpets (front ones with the Vibe logo)and maybe I forgot a few more...Good luck !
