On my factory HU i have 2 separate wiring harnesses going into the back.. my new pioneer has 1 and then it has separate outputs for the speakers does this mean i'm gonna have to splice all my wires reattach them and so it can plug in?

You can order wiring harnesses from different companies. Crutchfield has some and if you call them and give them the info about the HU/Car they should be able to send you one for fairly cheap.
Go to your local Bestbuy or Circuit City and get part 80-2003 (from CC). I don't remember if the model is different at BestBuy. It should cost something like $17.Make sure you don't get 2003T, that's the wrong harness. If you had the Stock system, or the M&T system, you can ignore the second harness completely, you'll only use the large one. I would reccomend NOT cutting the factory connector, as that will only lead to problems later on.

The pioneer has two possible inputs: the RCAs and the main harness. When you pick up a harness, just connect the wires on the harness to the pioneer wires. I wouldn't reocmmend using the RCA inputs at this point in time since there is a currently unresolved issue with the amp...As Jahntassa said, just forget about that second harness that has only 1 wire coming from it. No one is quite sure what it does. Certianly doesn't appear to do anything important though.
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
