Ok, maybe someone can explain this. I replaced my stock headlamps with Xenon-whites of the same wattage (I think it's 65/50 but I can't say for sure...whatever the stock lamps are)...and they seem really crappy. My stock ones seemed better than these. Did I do something wrong? I want lights so bright that when my high beams are on, people are blinded. WHAT can I get that will make my dream come true? Thanks for the help all.

Are the 100/90 REALLY bright? Because I don't want a slight improvement. I want somethign I can NOTICE. I want something that will (removed) off people in front of me because they willl be so blinded by my highs that they'll HAVE to move outta my way. Most importnatly, I know this was covered in another thread, but you are SURE the higher wattage will not be a threat to the electrical system? I CAN'T risk ANY damage to my car's system...but I want kickass headlights.

It sounds like you want a rack of lights that I have seen on some trucks they use for off roading and hunting. They make enough light they could be used to light a football field. LOL Sorry I couldn't resist

When someone in front of me drives like an a**hole, or if I get cut off, I wanna flash them brights and (removed) them off. I do not intend to blind oncoming traffic (unless an oncoming car refuses to turn off their brights, then I turn mine on.) But to step back, are the 100/90 significantly brighter than the stock lights? And are the stocks Xenon? Halogen? Tungsten? Just curious. Thanks all.

You know what? I hate people like you... u are completly inconsiderate of other drivers. What makes u think its ok to blind people with ur headlights, and better yet make urself look like a fool with some cheezy sprayer lights...You deserve a head on collision, quote:I do not intend to blind oncoming traffic (unless an oncoming car refuses to turn off their brights, then I turn mine on.)Yea cause that makes so much sense, blind him too so nobody can see where they're going. Your a hazard to cars infront of you as well as oncoming traffic. Go drive urself into a wall.

Its obvious that you want HID. You want the brightest thing out there...so save time and money and get the HIDs. Besides, the drop in "bright lights" cost a lot, and burn out fairly quick. But its up to you whether you want to spend the several hundred dollars for a good system.
Employ your time in improving yourself by other men's writings, so that you shall gain easily what others have labored hard for.
Install a fog lamp on your hood by the sprayer and point it toward ur face so u can blind yourself!

Well you know what? We live in such an inconsiderate and petty society that I feel the need to treat people the way I get treated. When other drivers respect me, I respect them. If they act like asses and drive recklessly and don't care about anyone else, then I'll give them a taste of their own damn medicine.Believe me, I wish everyone on the road drove with respect for other drivers, but more than half DON'T. So I might as well arm myself with the necessary "weapon" to show them that they're not the only ones who can make other drivers miserable.I only attack when provoked. So chill dude.

Keep penny's with you... when someone has their highbeams on in the oncoming traffic, just fling it into their lane before they pass you.

ragingfish, I know where you are coming from with inconsiderate people but roadrage isn't the answer. Seriously speaking one day you will (removed) off a crazier person then you and they could do something like shoot you or something. I would just try to chill out and try to remain safe.. You are not going to change the way people drive in NY/NJ with your headlights. Be a Happyfish

Those Piaa Super Plasma GT look amazing...but are they legal for road use, and/or DOT approved? Screw my Silverstars, if that's legal, I'm goin for it!

Have you ever used these? Are they REALLY that good? I'm ok spending $70 on headlamps, but I want to know they're gonna be worth $70. Also, does the singificantly higher color temp in any way relate to heat output? Even though they're standard wattage, or close to stock wattage anyway, they higher color temp won't cause my lenses to melt, deform, warp, etc, or in any way generate too much heat, right? Thanks again.

The Piaa bulbs are really that good. I have alot of streets around with no lights, and these light up the road very crisp and clear. I haven't gotten flipped off yet like I used to on my motorcycle, so they must not be too annoying I don't have them on my fogs yet, though. I pulled my Gts out of my Del Sol to put them on my Vibe. Still trying to figure out what bulb size the fogs are. Anyone know? Are they H4 (9003) like the headlights? I can't find anything in the manual about them. These will not melt your lenses. The Vibes headlights are very clean and well-designed. The only time you might have a problem is if your lights get very dirty. Also, I don't know what kind of effect the lens covers might have. Never used them, but read about them somewhere on this forum.BTW...Never touch your bulbs with your fingers!!! I'm sure everyone knows this, but it is especially important when dealing with these high output bulbs.Damon
kickass. i'm getting me some piaa's tomorrow! adios silverstars! i'll pull out my fogs tomorrow and see if i can't get a bulb #. Oh, I don't remember if I asked, but you said these last significantly longer than the stocks, xenon's, or silverstars, right?

The foglight's R 9006, and they twist out pretty easily (already replaced them).Regarding the 'other' drivers IMHO, it's not the 'incosiderate' ones that r dangerous, buth the un-observant ones. It's been my experience driving in NYC and northern NJ that, for the most part, u can spot and deal with /defend against an inconsiderate driver, but the driver that hits u b/c he didn't realize that u were there, that really burns me. my 2 cents .

They will probably not last significantly longer than stocks, but should last at least as long. Alot of the cheaper bulbs won't last a year. The GTs are new, but my friend has had his Piaa bulbs in his car for about two years now. I'm not really sure how long stocks last, because in over 14 years I've only had to change 2 burnt-out bulbs. Mostly, I end up having to replace the darn brakelights Thanks for the bulb number. Why can't Pontiac put that in the owner's manual? Or did I miss it somewhere?
True true, but thankfully, I only buy from stores that clearly say try them out, if you're not satisfied, we'll take 'em back. Althought, it works out as well because my friends all buy them off me. I absorb tax, so really, this has only cost me about $10 aside from the piaas. Works out perfectly!
