What is everyone favorite song about driving or cars?. Mine is "Red Barchetta" on the Moving Pictures album by RUSH... "Highway Star" by Deep Purple is a close second. I could go on and on...
Bros!!!!!! You all are making want to go for a drive. I don't know about my favorite driving song. I don't really have one. I could be listning to the Beach Boy's ( Good VIBErations ) or Prodigy's ( Breath ) or Zepplin's ( Rock and Roll ) or Henderix's ( Let Me Stand Next To Your Fire ) or Creedence Clearwater Revival's ( Sweet Hitch-Hicker ) Or heck I may even listen to some Ralph Stanley. Yes I know I know But I like Bluegrass music. Please don't ask. Hey wait a minute! I got the Moon and Tunes package! What am I doing talking about. Talk to you guy's later.
i would have to say one because i am a Lambda Chi Alpha brother i would agree with any steppenwolf, especially magic carpet ride. But i dunno if you have ever heard the song Mean Machine by Sugar Ray, i would highly recommend it. Also basically anything hard with fast guitar and a lot of BPM is good. Oh yeah Creedence, Aerosmith, Zepplin and AC/DC amongst other classic rock are great to drive to.yogi

Good call dude. I was jammin to that over weekend while going to work on Saturday. It is the definitive, make you want to drive, crank up the stereo, foot to the floor, and ignore the idiots driving 10 mph under the speed limit in the fast lane , kind of song.
I guess its better late than never but of course "Red Barchetta " by Rush is the best with seemingly a lot of magic in the song, for me anyway. But another song I love about a drag race is "Dont worry baby" by the Beahch Boys.JUst because you have to listen to all the lyrics in the verses to realize that it is indeed a car song. "Hot Rod Lincoln " from the early 70s or is it late 60s is a great classic! And again "409" and"Little deuce Coupe" by the Beach Boys, Which introduced me to car stuff as a kid."....my four speed, dual carb, positraction 409..." Good vibrationsFaultline

quote:"Hot Rod Lincoln " from the early 70s or is it late 60s is a great classic! Take a listen to 'Sugar Ray - Mean Machine' for a little taste of 'Hot Rod Lincoln'. They stole the line "My Daddy said son you're gonna drive me to drinkin'" and inserted it into Mean Machine several times. Very cool. Check it out..
not that I like country music--but I really like "Drive" by Alan Jackson. Makes me think of growing up all over again
Heather Proud vibe owner I'M DRIVING IT 'TIL THE WHEELS FALL OFF! IT HAS SURVIVED ABUSE FROM A DUCK......A COYOTE...AN ARMADILLO...A HUGE DEER (NONE OF THEM WERE PETS EITHER ) ...AND A DAUGHTER....WHAT A CAR! 106K AND STILL GOING STRONG!!!!
Come on. How can all of you forget about "Convoy" by CW.McCall? I guess that's more of a highway/truckin' song. Anyway, I'm not a country fan, but that's still an ok song. For something a little more "rockin" I'm going to have to go with "The Best Things" by Filter
