Hi, I am getting a new 2004 Vibe GT. I am getting black with the Moon and Tunes Package, 17" Wheels, Power locks and keyless entry, Rear Spolier Package and Monochrome Paint Scheme. I would love some feedback on a exhaust, intake, and 19" wheelpackage. I have seen people recommend the Magnaflow exhaust, but I can't seem to find a intake to fit the '04. Sorry if I sound like a noob, but I am new to 4-cylinder scene. This vibe will be my girlfriends car. We currently have a 2002 Trailblazer LTZ and a 2004 Silverado Ext. Cab LT. We are getting rid of the Trailblazer so that we can save money for a house. I am used to mods, just on the V-8 pickups. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Welcome to Genvibe! When searching for mods, I always enter and search for Matrix XRS parts. I believe Injen now has an intake out for the '04's. Everything else is pretty much the same as on '03s.As for 19's those are gonna be HEAVY and easy to bang up! But to each their own! There are several sites with package deals and such. http://www.tires.com, http://www.tirerack.com, http://www.wheelmax.com, and good ol' ebay! you can do a search in the forums for pretty much anything you need info on. Let us know how it goes!
Let me save you some time in trying to find an intake for your car. Injen is supposedly coming out with one but I have yet to see one. Cosmo Racing in Canada makes one currently and from what I have heard it is excellent for the price which is what I am going to do. Exhaust just search the forums to find your desired info. Welcome to the club though and have fun with your new car.

Definitely be on the lookout for an intake for your 2004. That is one of the best mods for the money. I would recommend a MagnaFlow exhaust as well. It's what I went with and I am very happy with it. As far as 19" wheels go, I wouldn't recommend it. I have Hotchkis springs on mine with 18" wheels and it rides hard. I like that kind of ride, but if I had 19's, it would be too hard. I am also going to be upgrading to Hotchkis sway bars this spring as well. Click on the link in my signature to visit my Cardomain page. I have a lot of mods done to my GT.Oh yeah, welcome to GenVibe!

I favor AEM cold-air intakes, and as far as the exhaust, I went with an aftermarket muffler, and had a shop custom build a 2 1/2" full cat-back system. For some other easy power mods you can have a shop port and polish your headers (I'm having this done to my headers until I can get them ported further and ceramic-coated, also upgrading my cat-back system to a full 3" to allow for easier breathing for a turbo system) Something that's nice, although it won't add horse or torque, is a full big disc brake conversion kit. It'll let you stop much faster. Also, a Unichip adds a good deal of power if you have other mods done to the car (A Unichip reprograms your car so it's properly adjusted to the modifications you've done such as turbo/supercharger, cold-air intake, etc). Steer clear of the "Power module chip" things sold on Ebay for $20 to $30, they're fake. If you want 19" wheels, then by all means, go for it, but you may be happier with a set of 18's and a lowering kit (Eibach, TRD, and Tein make some that'll fit the Vibe). Anything else you need, just IM me or ask one of the other people on the forums. If you need to know anything Vibe-related, this is the right place Oh, and also, a sway bar and strut bar would help the Vibe handle better, TRD makes some to fit, and I don't know the other companies offhand. Congrats on choosing a Vibe, it'll definately grow on you ^^
