350z exhaust.

Post by aduhaime2003 »

I just thought some who actually tinker out there would be interrested in this. I am curently working on making a 350z pair of mufflers fit my custom 2.5 inch dual outlet exhaust. I hope to finish this week or next. I will poost pics if anyone is interrested.

Love to see the pix, aduhaime!Speaking of duals, I made up a second outlet for my stock system. Don't know how to post the link, but it's on page 4 of the Engine and Transmission forum under "Dual exhaust! Check it out!"

I have had the exhaust on for a week tomorrow and will be taking pics tomorrow. So far i am unhappy with the sound. I need to install the front resonator which i ommited at first. I cut the stock exhaust at the rear of the cat and fabricated flanges out of 3/8 inch stainless and went fom there to the stck rear flange with t304 2 1/2inch. Then i made another flange from stainless and plumbed in the muffler and used stock nissan tubing cut and pasted to the right config out. I had to cut all mounts off and flip the muffler and reweld them upside down. They also needed a little manipulation with the heat wrench. It is pretty self explainatory from there. I will install the resonator tomorrow and then take the pics.

Wow, Lots of fabrication! Hope the sound comes up to spec with the resonator back in line. Mine's a little harsh with just the resonator and cats, so yours should be just right with it and a low restriction muffler like the Z's.
