Reading Lamp Light

Post by biggdogg173 »

Hey there all. The reading light lamp on the Vibe went out and I went to the dealership to see if they had a replacement bulb (figuring they wouldn't have them yet at an auto parts store) and the parts guy said the part was not serviceable. This meaing there were no replacement parts in there to service. Duh its a light don't you think it might actaully go out and need replacing. Anyway he said he couldn't call GM parts because they were closed (Saturday). Has anyone else had to replace this light? Its the one to the left of the moon roof controls. Should I just go to Toyota and see if they can help me out?

Yeah, that happened to me - I left it on over night. Thankfully it didn't kill the battery, but it's a relitively small electrical output.Anyway, my dealer fixed it without a problem when I got my oil changed. Under Warranty...They just fixed one of my Fog Lights under Warranty also.

Yep! mine too. Went to the dealer with 3 problmes and left with 4. The need to order the light bulb, order the hatch lock and cannot fix the dash display that washes out in the sun. When they gave me my vehicle the remote no longer worked and it took the an hour to figure how to fix/reprogram it!!!

Mine is out too....I took it to the dealer--it's not the bulb. There is actually a short in the wiring to the light. They have a part ordered for it.....I agree with Scott. They are giving you a load of BS. I thought it was the bulb too. Check into it.....and good luck

To say it's not a servicable piece isn't true as has been proven by others who have posted here.quote:...and request that you try to edit or delete it.No. It's my opinion and I have every right to express it.
