The dealer is down here and i am wondering what i should order for my vibe...i picked my colors...neptune, two-tone w/ graphite interior. as for the interior...obviously i have chosen the power group package...my problem is, is the moon and tunes package really worth the extra $$$ and do all vibes come w/ a sunroof but not open unless you get the moon and tunes? if i dont get the moon and tunes i was gonna get the 16" cast aluminum wheels...but was just wonderin what would be better for the money..oh ya, one more thing...anyone know how long the $2500 rebate is gonna last (like the 2-3 months it's gonna take for my car to get here!?!??)thanks again for the knowledge.
the rebate is not automatically applied when you order the car.. you have to take delivery of it, i.e.- sign the ppwk on it, only then does any incentive, rebate, or current interest rate go into effect. one thing that a dealer can do, and im not sure if all do this, but when GM sends them the actual VIN # for your specific car, then they can actually sell you the car and do the ppwk at that time. even if the car is still in production. your taking a chance by doing that though, if the car arrives and is not exactly what its supposed to be, too bad, you've already bought it. but if they don't do this and your car arrives after the rebate expires, well, your outa luck. but your probably ok, since the vibe's arrival GM has offered an incentive on it of anywhere between $500 and $2500. sorry that was long.

Depends on how you like your music. If you're a casual listener, get the regular system. If you like your music loud, get the M&T. I personally went with the Nav system, and upgraded the rest of it.So basically, I kept the Nav, and did this:Changed out the door speakers for 6.5" Components (yes, four tweeters, one on each door)Added a 75wx4ch amp for the door speakersHave two 10" Sony Subs with their own ampAdded an Alpine EQ/Processor to handle the output from the Nav system. It sounds pretty solid..and I really love the Nav system. Nice to have that changer, too! It really depends on what you want... I can live without the moonroof, but I really like the nav. Then again, i'm probably going to sell my nav system in a few months so I can get the new Pioneer system. You really need to look at what you think you're going to change down the road. If you know you're going to want different rims, stick with the 16"s up front. If you know you're going to want more sound, go with the Nav or stock sound systems..If you're happy with the car as-is..nothin' wrong with the M&T!

The 2000 rebate expires 3/31 but i think the 500 bonus cash expires 3/15..i have the moon & tunes and definitly think its worth it... if you cant afford the wheel now get em later..... aftermarket sunroofs your asking for more money and leaks
my vote is for the moons and tunes. you won't be sorry.as for the wheels you can pick up a set later and probably cheaper than the option. aftermarket sunroof could equal distater.

I agree. Go with the Moons & Tunes package...there are so many aftermarket wheels out there to choose from. I have the M&T and love it. I also have the 6-disc changer...love that too.
I can offer a differing opinion. I had planned on getting the Moon and Tunes, but Pontiac raised the price on the package about 300.00 between 2003 and 2004. I thought the package was a good deal with the 2003, but since I got a 2004 i decided against it. I figured for the same price as a sunroof and a GM amplifier I could get the alloy wheels and the ABS brakes. I would have liked the sunroof, but didn't care about the Amp, so in my case I didn't think the sunroof was worth 800.00 to me. If the M&T had come with an upgraded Radio and not just an amp, I may have considered it, but once I found out the radio was basically the same it made it easier. I am also the kind of car owner who won't change the wheels just the way I am I guess. You should really decide what is most important to you and what you plan on doing with the car after you own it. If you HAVE to have a sunroof, by all means get it from the factory. Best thing is to decide what is the most important to you and go from there, unless both things are in your budget.

The only reason to get the moon and tunes is if you want the moon roof. You can alway add a radio. You can always buy tires and rims when the first set wares out.The power package is pretty pricey for what you get ( windows, locks, cruise) for a $1000 plus for what you get but you can't really add that stuff aftwerwards.Do you really have to order one; can't you locate one with gmbuypower?
There is a $400 credit on the power package so the cost is more like $600 and it includes the keyless remote. However, I think you don't get that if you have another package discount (e.g. the moon and tunes). I could do without power windows but power door locks, keyless remote and cruise were "must haves" for me.

actually, there is a $300 discount on the power pakage, and a $300 discount on the M& T package, and you do get both if you get both packages.i got both packages and stuck with the standard steel wheels. for the $440 they were asking to upgrade to alloys, i can find something better looking (for under $600). wasn't too impressed with the looks of the factory alloys.i don't think i'll ever get another car without a sunroof.~blake
Yes - GM giveith, and GM takeith away. Looking at my VIBE sticker, in January 2003 the MSRP of the Power Group Value Package was $1,025 and there was a $400 discount, net $625. ]Since I was buying at invoice plus $49 it actually cost me the $556.25 invoice price.] In the beginning of 2004 model according to http://www.kbb.com it was a MSRP of $1,150 and a $400 discount for a net of $750. Now, according the http://www.edmunds.com and also the GM site it is MSRP $1,150 with a discount of $300, Net $850 [Invoice price $757.]. The Moons & Tunes is also a $300 discount and now you can get both. When I bought my 2003 on January 2003 I think the moons and tunes discount was $700 but you could not get the power package discount AND the moon and tunes discount. (Invoice is 11% below MSRP in this option.)
