About the GM Certificate Discount

This might be dumb, but i'm gonna ask it anyways, i just received a gm in the driveway certificate from an awfully nice scherry2 in the mail and was wondering...a dealer i was going to order mine through is comin down this week, he charges everything at invoice - rebates...is the price through the certificate cheaper than invoice or more??? thanks again..and sorry if this has been repeated...i looked and never found an exact price w/ the cert.

On 2/23/04 Michaelgt posted this very good information. It shows employee price, and he says the certificate is 4% over that."Please go select a Vibe at any Pontiac Dealer in your area and send me the VIN, description of the Vibe (Base or GT, AWD or Fwd), and the dealer zip code. I will then tell you the MSRP, the GMS price (employee) and then you can calculate the supplier price +4%. Feel free to ask the dealer to show you the invoice with these prices listed for the vehicle. It should match if they have entered the vehicle in GMBuypower. Just to note, your example would be really close. I have received feedback of individuals that have purchased GM vehicles using these certificates. One person flew from SC to TX to pickup a Diesel Pickup because it was at the dealer, and the dealer would sell at the supplier price. Craigmri is a member that purchased using the certificate. So, if anybody is interested, the certificates are for real, and you do not need to negotiate a price. I am pasting in the GM employee price. The supplier price would be 4% greater.
