MagnaFlow Cat-Back Exhaust Installed! (10 Pics)

Post by Triton »

Here are some pics I took this weekend while installing my MagnaFlow exhaust system. It sounds awesome and installation wasn't too difficult. I also have an mpeg that I took after the install. It doesn't do it justice but at least it's something. It sounds a lot better in person inside and outside the car. IM me with your email address if you would like me to send it to you.Pic 1:

Awesome!!! I just ordered a magnaflow last week and it is still sitting in Virginia. How hard is it to install yourself?

In answer to the question from redlava and hman33, the install was not that difficult. The hardest part was cutting the pipe (definitely need a reciprocating saw) and removing the stock muffler from the mounts. Not at all that difficult overall. In answer to Thewolf's question, the sound at highway speeds is very nice. It sounds really good to me. A lot better than the stock system.

It's sound is low and subtle for the most part, until you punch it! Over 5k RPM's, especially in lift, and it + a CAI screams like a turbine! Hence the name of my GT....jetBlue ala the CA-based airline.

If I remember correctly, it's after the sensor.

Injen CAI and you got the same cat I am looking at. Please don't hesitate to post any issues you may have...before I buy and install the same thing.

180 is at the crank, the dyno is at the wheels I'm betting.
