And after...I'll have more shots and a cardomain page set up later. A HUGE thanks to the genvibe community for all your advice, input and support! And of course, another HUGE thanks (and plug) goes to Phil Lee, owner of Pro Audio Motorsports in Torrance, CA, who specializes in Nissan and Toyota work. Phil performed the following mods all on Friday:Falken 18" Circuit Spec wheels (gunmetal finish) x 4225/40-18 Nankang NS2 tires x 4(Miamitireoutlet.com mounted and balanced them before shipping)Hotchkis springsAEM CAIMagnaflow cat-back exhaustCross-drilled/slotted rotors x 4Blue G2 painted calipers x 4EBC greenstuffs brake pads x 4Blue Gourmet Garage ground wire kitProgress rear sway barmud flaps x 4 (i cut the fronts down about 1" Saturday morning)I "installed" () a full set of GrafxWerks reflective black overlays - including flames (thanks Ryan!), and billet grilles Saturday morning.
You pulled a Frankenstein there, complete transformation. ^^It looks great man, the rims look great on the Vibe, and the grill adds a nice touch. Keep up the good work
Thank you! A pic of the engine bay..minus a Vibrant Performance STB (blue - thanks to Triton!) and AEM tru-power alternator pulley kit (just for looks ) - both on the way as I type this.
Your Vibe looks awesome! I wish I could make a lot of those mods.
Justin 2003 Vibe GT - Mille Miglia Evo5 18x8 Wheels (now stock)- Magnaflow Cat-Back Exhaust (now stock)- Tein S-Tech Springs (now stock)- Injen CAI - Red Painted Calipers - Hella Supertone Horns - Polk Speakers - Bazooka RS8A-HP Sub - Kenwood Headunit - Still love my Vibe, but I've just turned it back into a basic daily driver.
Not that I'm too concerned, but can someone w/ photoshop please help me crop out my license plate on the 1st and 5th photos ("before" and "daytime")? I would really appreciate it, as my fuji finepix software isn't playing nice
Thanks Mavrik! It was lowered w/ Hotchkis springs ~2". That's as far as I wanted to go, and both the handling and ride are awesome! It's the perfect mix between comfort and handling.EDIT: I forgot to mention that I also "installed" (lol) a freedom design stubby antenna (silver) and removed the roof racks about a week ago .EDIT 2: Thanks Justin. I've just been stockpiling this stuff over the course of the past 6 months, waiting to do it all at once. That took a ton of patience!

I tracked down a company by the name of Metal Master Rotors (not to be confused w/ Axxis' metal master brake pads) in Signal Hill (just north of Anaheim, CA). These rotors are BPI's, and they cost me $200 for all four. Metal Master offers both Japanese (BPI) and Chinese rotors (lower quality, costs ~$150) and then machines and zinc plates them at their shop. Their phone number is 562-427-4470.
I love your grill inserts, where did you get those. Not to copy you but I have been looking into a pair myself but have only found the design with holes, I like yours better. Nice pic to. if there was not so many cars around it, I'd be tempted to use it as my wall paper on my work computer.

Thanks again Mav. I think Hope was one of the first to spot those grilles on eBay. Here's a link to their auction, which shows you exactly how it they look on a Fusion Vibe.
na, i was waiting for others to buy it before i got mine. may have spotted it, but not buy it. i think meathead and disney dj were the firsts to offer themselves as guinea pigs on those. i just waited til i thot they'd be worth having.
I will have to give them a call when I get the cash.. I like the look! and the brake pads are greenstuff pads? The only thing I dont know is what color should I go with. You have blue Vibe so blue pads but not sure about color for my shadow, also thought about getting neon lights for under the car but again what color to go with shadow?

They ship from California by UPS. Ask him to ship by USPS mail instead. The first try he sent them UPS and they wanted $38.86 for brokerage so I let them send them back and he sent them USPS.
If I owned a Shadow Vibe, I might go nuts and paint my calipers white I would go with white underbody neons and black reflective overlays (reflects white)...that would be an awesome contrasting look.I did find an obscure eBay auction selling Axxis (Rotora) metalmaster pads supposedly for the Vibe, but according to Axxis themselve, they don't have an application for Vibes/Matrices yet. EBC Greenstuffs (or redstuffs for track applications) are the only aftermarket pads I was able to find. We should hook up some time when I'm up in Oxnard.
Woo hoo! Thanks Ryan!Although, I may have to order another front arrowhead, as I accidentally tore it in my excitement . It looks just fine, but I'm a perfectionist

Ill try to get underbody lights this weekend if money is not short (when isnt it?) maybe this weekend. we will see. I have the overlays on the Vibe they are almost white like a light gray reflective white, Excel wheels, Injen CAI, Borla exhaust just goigng to save up for the turbo....

Yep, I've got a hook up in San Diego that can do a gauranteed 60-hp turbo kit (complete with exhaust manifold and intercooler) for UNDER $3,000 installed...that's my next big project come summer time. EDIT: XS engineering is his Company's name, and this turbo kit was used in Sport Compact's "Project Matrix". He tells me they pushed the boost up to 15 psi until it blew -- on the way to Vegas no less . They did this on purpose, of course. I figure 8psi would be perfect for an everyday driver that wants to flirt at 250hp. This is a good article to read up on.

Under $3,000??????? Well you sure cant keep this a secret!!! im interested in this.

Well, that's what he told me this past Saturday - It might jest be "his" and/or my price, but I'm sure they won't mind doing it for other owners. He's going to have it done about May or June on his 'Trix XRS, so we'll see.EDIT: PS, the intercooler will look exactly like this:Notice the stock POS horn lol
250HP on a Matrix? man I like the sound of that, Hopefully it could be used on the Vibe, will have to look at it in a couple of years when I can afford it lol.

psycho, you're talking about a gt/xrs right? for the 2zz engine? ok, i see the intercooler also says xs. and i know i read somewhere they had made a turbo for the celica gts... also w/ the 2zz. so, let us all know if you do this! how much it costs, where, how, what and all that jazz! i know i'd be interested maybe in a summer or two after my warranty is gone.
Heya Hope, Most def it's for the XRS/GT, as Sport Compact's project was a 'Trix XRS. I'll keep everyone posted if I hear any news from my friend. Here are a couple more pics of "jetBlue" (best so far IMHO), taken this morning in the rain.
Indeed! I've been stockpiling this stuff for months now, with the plan to do it all at once, but only after I erased my debts...well...except for the loan on my Vibe, of course
