Finally got my car cleaned up after the last bout of winter!

Post by Kissfan79 »

I finally got a chance to clean my Gt up after the last few bouts of winter weather. We have a niiice 70 degree day here and I had to get it done. Wow...this is the first time I have posted pics of my car. Almost 100% stock...no mods other than the K&N air filter. One of these days....I'll put a new intake on her.Jim

I decided to jump on the clean vibe bandwagon too! This is a 1 hour cleaning, using all Stoner products (except for the soap). I'm very satisfied with the results! I also applied a quick wax called "Speed Bead" to give it that just-waxed shine...was very easy to apply! Also decided to rock the steelies for a while...till the end of the season anyway. Looks good! Have you EVER seen such a shiny steelie? I didn't think so! You can see the blue reflection of my kickass Silverstar turn signals in this one:

It was Plasti-Kote "ANODIZIT". DO NOT USE THIS PAINT! Worst crap I ever used! 7 base coats, 5 top coats, all had ample time to dry, and it started peeling on day 1!DO NOT USE THIS PAINT!

How do you get the picture to appear in the post itself rather than as an attachment that someone has to click on to see?Jim

it has to be hosted by another site, then you can copy/past it's url between [img)] [/img)] (remove the parenthesis)

Nice clean car! I see that you live in some woods. It must be very nice! I used to live at Ft. Dix. We had woods 30yrds. from my house and my dog and I were always gone exploring and fishing. Love those woods!

Yeah, there's some wooding around here, but not as much as there used to be: My town is suffering from chronic overdevelopment...we used to have acres and acres and acres and acres and acres of wide open farmland, and wooded areas. Most of it has been cleared for housing developments. Very very sad. But anyway, back OT before the moderator kills me...

I also washed my Frosty today, although today is anything but a good day to wash a car... it's very wet and lots of snow melting. My Frosty is pretty dirty now again... But what the heck, I haven't washed it for a few weeks now and I only spent $3 at a local coin wash.At least I know there are no more salt on my car now )
