I'll post all the pic's and take everyone through it later today in the How to forum. It was a ***** to do though. It took me over 3 hours, which was mostly taking part of the bumber off (that's the key to installing it) and looking for some vacume tube for an hour that I never did find. I am by no means a machanic (only worked on diesel's in the Marine Corp many years ago).I also got the Injen Oil cap (Uuumm Shiny!). It sound's REALLY sweet! When you first press on the gas. you hear this sucking sound. And when you floor it on the road it really takes off and whines out! I do have a question for any real machanic's out there. Please let me know it there really is a port on the engine block, below the throttle body? The instructions say to cap this off with the supplied part ( m5 vaccum cap). The idle drops down to only 500-600rpm's when you come to a stop, too. All I gotta do is turn that up, unless that's from the mystery port?

I'm not sure if the base engine is the same, but the 2zz has a vacuum line that comes out just above the throttle body. I guess it forces air back into the stock box from the engine. My install kit was short so I have temporary fix, but I requested a new piece from Injen.
quote:Will the Matrix XRS intake fit the Vibe GT? Hate to throw down the cash and not have it fit. No, they are completely different. The Pontiac vehicle is made by GM and the Matrix is made by Toyota. Since the engines and the car are from different companies, I doubt they would match.***Disclaimer***If you can't use the simple find function for the site, I'm not going to take it's place. Please do a little research using the find button or looking at the post directly next to this one showing many members and their installs on the GT of the Injen intake.***Disclaimer****
I thought they had the same engine. Oh well. (BTW, I'm the new guy, waiting to pick his new GT up tonight). I wonder if someone will make an intake for the Vibe, then. I have trouble finding things for my other ride, was hoping things would be easier for the Vibe.

I was being an ***. Both the Injen and AEM intake will fit without any problems. Just be prepared to do a lot of arm twisting when installing the Injen on the GT. Took me forever since you have to place the filter on the pipe, but the fog light is in the way. I had to grab my fiancee to help.
