As you all know Sub Vibe R is the audio moderator and does a damn good job of giving out advice ( as many have done to me in the past thanks! ) He went beyond the call of duty and installed my sub for me this Friday night. I just wanted to say publicly "un gros merci Ben!" for doing this for me. Any time you need anything bro, please let me know. He is truly a first class gentlemen and I am honored to have met him. Just look at the beautiful job he did! Man I love this website, we have such great people here!!!

looks great, sam! i really like the size of it, not so big. i finally took some pics of my new amps. changed it around a little in the back too. on the side so i can lay down the larger rear seat and have a bit more space.
Thanks Hope!! I can't see your pics though, please post them again. As for the box I had it custom made from a member of Montrealracing forum. It only cost 40$Can!! It is top quality stuff. I wanted it small also not to lose that much cargo space....now I need to find some Infinity speakers and the upgrade is complete!

very nice job trdvibe....I bet it sounds great! I like your use of front-floor-mat to protect the side wall from getting scratched! hehehe. I tried to use the both of them as a cargo mat (because, yes, i am just that cheap) but it didnt work so well. You mentioned that your previous amp blew, and yet i see two amps in your pictures. Which one did you have to replace? Also, did you buy online again? or did you play it safe and get it from a store?also, did you have to add any screws to get that amp stuck up there on the back of the seat like that? or do the tie-downs in the tracks suffice?

Also, did you buy online again? or did you play it safe and get it from a store?i had best buy install both amps (4 yr warranty!). i went with a 4 channel pioneer to power the doors and a 2 channel rockford fosgate to power my solobaric. i'm told it draws more power than a regular sub and may have been part of the prob. the other amp was a 5 channel.Quote »also, did you have to add any screws to get that amp stuck up there on the back of the seat like that? or do the tie-downs in the tracks suffice?i believe they had to screw them into the back of the seat. that's ok, i don't look at that part anyways.

The worst part of the job was the traffic jam!!!BTW, did you have any trouble hooking you amp to the wiring? I told you it was very easy. Per what I can see, you did it very well. And how does it sounds?
Yeah that traffic jam It payed off anyway! We survived!!!It was very easy to hook up and it sounds GREAT! 10000% better than before! You know you have to come again and hear it for yourself.Next stop Ben are the stock speakers bye bye

I was confident but I hate installing things without all the parts.

And, oh yeah, ...how does it sound? not bolted, just velcro, actually it doesn't even really need the velcro, its hugs the wheel well nicely on its own, I made the back of the box out of fiberglass, and mounted MDF to the fiberglass, it sounded kinda Sh**ty before cutting the port, I used a 4" aluminum dryer hose for the port, I had to duct tape the hose to keep it from rattling, no rattle at all after that though, actually building this box was a nightmare, it was the first time working with fiberglass, and there is no square angles on the box at all, and I had a hard time finding material that would match the interior, and once I found it there was just barely enough But I'm very happy with the outcome, now onto the even more difficult task of intergrating a computer system that will play DVDs MP3s, vehicle diagnostics and navigation
