ya, i don't get a spring break either. last time i went on a trip during spring break time was 2001 in las vegas. that was a good trip! lots of fun! now, i have to plan and take vacation hours if i want a break. the michigan meet will most likely be my next vacation....
Last year I went to work for spring break. This year I'm most likely going to Sanibel Island (Florida) or Las Vegas with my g/f.

Last year I went to Panama City, FL for spring break. First time I had really done something during the break. It was crazy and not exactly my type of thing, but I still had fun. My spring break is coming up next month, not exactly sure what I'm going to do. Like redlava, most of my friends can't afford to go where I'd like to. There is a chance I still may go somewhere in FL though. It's my last spring break, so I want to do something fun.Later,

Back when I was a full time college students, my friends and I would either go to the Florida beaches or Jamaica for Spring Break. And none of us were rich, we would shop around and find great package deals.
Just because you see Charlie doesn't mean I am a he....sometimes Charlie can be a she!!!!
Hmm... Maybe with a job. I'm paying for my school, went out and bought my Vibe all by myself, I pay for just about everything, and I can afford to go on my vacations.

i worked a part time job in school, barely made enough to cover insurance. i wouldn't even have been able to go to any post highschool education had my grandpa not died and left me money.

Wow finally met someone else that has heard of sannibel!!! I go to Captiva Island every year in May. It's next to sannibel. I love it there. That is my favorite place in the world and is the only place in the world that you can do absolutely nothing and never get bored...just sit on the beach, fish, drink, take in the wamrth.
Yeah, I've never been there yet, but I'd really love to go. It's pretty expensive, though. Many of the places there won't rent to people under 25, and I'm told that they check everyone's ID. They don't want the typical college kid craziness there, which is absolutely fine with me! I would just like to kick back, relax, and drink peacefully.

(how the hell can anyone who doesn't have ma and pa financing it afford to??)My dad died 19 years ago yesterday, and my mom does not give me any money for anything. She does buy me some clothing and other smaller things for my birthday, Christmas, etc., but that is about all. She co-signs my school loans with me because I don't earn enough annually to qualify for some of them myself. She was paying on ONE of my school loans for a while, but can't afford to now. She never ever gave me so much as one penny for any car I've ever owned or the insurance. I pay those myself, and I don't have a "high paying job". I'm a laborer for an asphalt company for heaven's sakes. When you've grown up with relatively little and are determined to do better for yourself, you learn how to balance working, spending, investing, and budgeting.

I worked in retail for over 5 years, you don't make much there! Last year I was working two jobs. Now I quit one to give myself more time for other things. I worked very hard to get where I am now and for what I have. I think it is a matter of working hard and learning how to control spending, saving and investing.Later,
