This is the Trans-Labrador Highway (Canada). The Provincial government actually supplies satellite phones to drivers who drive this road across the wilderness where it hits -75 degrees during the winter. It's possible for a stranded driver to be 180 miles away from the nearest phone. No cell service here. When a driver gets to the other side(civilization) they simply drop-off the satellite phone

yes, no need to wash or anything, except if i run over the dog crap.... lol. but they're good little pups and have them trained to use a litter box... (don't i wish)but, that really is a road? people actually drive on it other than with heavy equipment? good grief!
