I purposely avoided it - (1) don't care that much for a moon roof, and (2) the Vibe is inherently a bit noisey to pay for a super premium sound system. Also, if you don't get a Moon & Tunes pkg with tis discount you can get (used to at least) a $400 discount on the power package.

I didn't want it when I was looking for a Vibe, but got it anyway. I like it. Can't say how the non M&T stereo sounds, but I do like having the sunroof. I was worried about the headroom it takes up, but it's really not much at all. If you think you're ever going to want a sunroof in the Vibe, get the one that's factory installed. If you will never want a sunroof, or deliberately don't want one, then don't get it for the sound package, you'd be better off replacing the stock system with what you want, and maybe a head unit that has an AUX input that works and even plays MP3s. If I was buyinig another Vibe, I'd spend the money to get the M&T package. It comes down to how important a sunroof is to you.

Hmmm, I have the Tunes part (6 speakers and amp), but no moonroof. Just came that way. Doesn't sound like anyone else has this....

It's your choice man. Most people choose M&T for the Moon part. The tunes are great for stock, but if you REALLY want tunes, start with the basic and rebuild from scratch. I love the Nav sytem (upgraded, mind you)

I have the moon and tunes and I love it. I also have the 6-disc in-dash changer and I really like it too. The stereo sounds great to me, and the sunroof is awesome. Definitely worth it.

Like frostyGt, I have the M&T with a 6 disc. My main purpose here was to get the moonroof. I love being able to open up the roof. I open 'er up during all four seasons (just crank the heat). The six disc is also one of the nicest units I've had (both original and after market systems).

I don't really care for a sunroof, and especially the factory sunroof on the Vibe, I really only want the "Tunes" part. That's only if it's extra base and stuff and not just more speakers or is it just that?

The Moons part is great! The Tunes part - well - I ripped the speakers out of the doors and replaced them with Sony 3-ways in the back doors and Pioneer 2-ways in the front doors. Kept the factory amp and the sail tweeters. Added a Bazooka 8" powered sub and some soundproofing (shoved some old throw pillows in the compartments on the sides in the back, some carpet mat from Wal-Mart on the back floor, and some cheap fuzzy bedroom pillows in the back, with one big body size pillow across the back door) which provided a lot of dampening. I keep the cover across the back so none of it is visible. Now the system cooks. Plenty volume, plenty thump, plenty of everything.Just got back from buying an XM Commander, and will install it Saturday!

unfortunately, they didn't have any monotones w/ m&t when i got mine. this was the closest. but, the moonroof isn't the kind that i wanted anyways, so it worked out. i want a spoiler moon roof but i can get one installed aftermarket w/ a 10 yr warranty for $750. and the tunes part is only a 200 watt amp w/ the same crappy speakers except now you have 2 tweeters.

You'll get more loud, and a little more bass. I don't have it, so I can't tell you for sure... I'd plan on eventually swapping out the speakers anyway, as factory stuff has a tendency to disintigrate with time..

Well, I have the M&T package. I just got sick of the radio. Thinking that it would jus be a simple wire up, I jus thought bypass the amp with the harness and I'll be done. Well, guess what, didn't work, had to rewire the whole amp. Pain the a$$. Once you do change the radio, you MUST change the speakers that came with the M&T package. Except for the tweets. Those speakers run at 2 ohms, which in most cases, the radio will run at 4 ohms. So, if you don't change your speakers, you WILL fry your radio. If anyone has any questions about the install, feel free to ask.Inder Singh

I like the sun/moonroof - I installed a wind deflector there and over the door windows. The stock Tunes isn't bad - a little muddy, though! Rip those door speakers out, replace them with some decent two-way or three-ways, and keep the sail tweeters in the front doors, and the factory 200 watt amp will do great. Add a sub in the back, and it is superb. The stereo separation is great, the definition goes up. But I don't like the BOOOM BOOOOM bass, just tight lean bass that you can feel. I am happy as a clam. Plus the factory CD plays all the CDs I can burn on my PC from my library of 2700 mp3 songs. I burn to cdr format with Adeptec softwareand it is great sound - you cold spend a whole lot more than I have spent and not see much improvement!

The Factory Moon & Tunes door speakers were trash - the back door speakers had a whizzer cone - I chunked them straight to the garbage can. Sony and Pioneer replacements are crystal clear. Can't afford Polks now - or then, when I did it! The factory sail tweeters are good - bright, crisp, and add a spatial effect unlike most I've heard!

Add a low-cost powered sub like Bazooka and you are good to go! The relacement door speakers add so much definition, and the sub has it's own volume, so you can custom tailor your sound for low $$$ output!

I would much much rather have the Nav. system in my Vibe then the M&T pack. It seems they are putting less and less Nav. systems in Vibes cause it's awful hard to find them with that option to me..

I had considered the M&T when I got my car because I think it is nice to have a sunroof. Then I saw that the price on the M&T was raised over $300.00 from 2003 to 2004 for the same option package and decided that I wasn't going to pay that price.

Last July, there were only 9 GT's with Nav systems in them in Jersey. Got the 0% financing too..
