I'm probably ordering a Vibe GT this week... are the 17" wheels worth the extra $400? I don't notice the styling difference that much and I am not a performance driver. I know the larger tires will be more expensive to replace when they wear out, too. So I guess it boils down to ride and/or safety. Any measurable difference? Feel free to give your comments pro or con regarding your preference of 16" or 17" wheels.Thanks.Earl

Ask yourself this, would you rather have a sunroof? If so, skip the larger rims and go for the moon roof which I think is around $500 extra. Otherwise, the larger rims do help a lot IMO and you do get better handling. I knew that it would be awhile before I upgraded to better rims and tires so the Z-rated Dunlops where good in the mean time. I did test drive both and the place where the 16s" squealed, the 17s" just gripped better. I also am not a fan of moon roofs so it wasn't an issue for me.
