Not to be meant as a Holier then thou... I personally don't drink because I see no point in working to acquire a taste for beer to me it just looks and tastes like (removed)(although I've never tasted (removed)). Hard liqour... if it burn all the way down and when you drink to much you puke and feel like crap... I just don't see the ponit in it. well enough about that... YAY Vibes!!Anyone Else done anything "crazy" in one?

Ok, I wasn't meaning anything "crazy" as in sexual i meant like doing mulitiple e-brake slides going too fast around a corner, spinning out and some how gaining control and staying on the road... sliding around on the ice... running over dogs, cats, lizards, and anything else you can think of (your little brother) or switching drivers at 45, 55, 65, 75, 85, 95

Yes tehres already a thread 7 pages long about the folding down seat part in another forum.Ahh yes E-brake slides...since it icy and winter I am taking advantag and practicing my drifting since I can't do it on the cement (Front wheel drive not possible to drift) The craziest thing I've done was racing 6 other cars at once on Hall rd., or the other day when I went out in the snow had the car sliding sideways drifting for 8 REAL second, I had my friend Tim time me. I straightened it out and kept goin. it was amazing. I'm gettin good at drifting,

I was just doing doughnuts in the parking lot after work tonight, if that counts. No other cars around, big open flat space, and lots of fun! I got pretty good at it, had to practice how to use the e-brake to keep the Vibe spinnin' in circles.I've also slid the Vibe sideways in a 90 degree right turn at about 50 MPH on dry roadway once. I didn't mean to do it, I was in a hurry and going up an on ramp to a bridge leaving town one afternoon. I was still fairly new to the Vibe at the time, and I was used to the handling of my former Mustang. Needless to say, the Vibe doesn't handle nearly as well and I started to lose it in the bend. I slid sideways toward a jersey barrier and came within about 2 feet of it just as I countersteered a bit and brought the front end of the car around, then gave it a little throttle and snapped the rear end in line. Phew, just made it!And one more. I was taking my g/f and a few of her friends to a nightclub one night a few months ago. I approached a confusing and horribly marked intersection in town where I had to make a left turn. Well, I made the turn, but a bit too soon and I was headed into 3 lanes of oncoming traffic! Good thing it was late at night and not much traffic around. I just had to aim to the right, drive up over a curb and across a concrete median then down off the curb again to get into the correct set of lanes. I scared the crap out of everyone in the car, myself included, but just kept going on like nothing happened. I think all that I said when I realized my mistake was "oops".Those were my "crazy" things.

Prolly dumbest thing I did is found a wide open highway, late at night, with no cars in sight, stopped completely, and then floored it.Oh, did I mention there was 6 inches / 15.4 cm of snow on the road?Just wanted to see if I'd fishtail or anything.I kinda skidded, but honestly, didn't move much at all...I felt CRAAAAAAZY!

I had a crazy event happen during a snow squall last week.Actually more scary.I was on my way home from work when this snow started coming down like a blizzard. It was five at night and everyone was caught off gaurd, and following too close. A train of cars started braking in the center lane (me included) I was on the brakes but not slowing down. The ABS was in full effect so I was sliding but still had some steering. Coming too close to an Acura I made a gentle turn into the right lane which was kind of empty. By this time the cars in that line (about six) were all slowing but also getting a hair sideways. I was just about clear of the Acura's lane, but only a few inches away from the Acura. Just then I decided I should check out behind me. In my mirror is a Nissan Altima (93-95) side ways and coming for me. A 93 Altima was my previous car (no ABS) so I knew what he/she was going through. I thought I was going to get hit, and be the lead car in a pile up. Deciding that I didn't wan't that kind of hassle I upshifted a gear and gunned it. I moved ahead just enough not to get hit. Just then the Altima was exactly sideways and slowed to a stop. The traffic behind was all over the brakes and bearing down on the Altima. The Altima cut the wheel nailed it and spun itself straight and regained forward motion. Change under wear, cheer for quick thinking drivers and go home happily ever after.

Are you referring to a vibe w/ awd? or any vibe? because I know my gt with 17" dunlops, sticks to the road so well that one night when an (removed) in a f350 decided he wanted to run me off the road while he passed and then once he did slammed on his brakes (I'm going 85+) and I swerved really hard (I thought I was going to lose it) the vibe never broke loose or lost traction, so I would think that if it were dry it would be pretty hard to do donuts or fishtale in a fwd. Maybe its just my amazing driving skills? Probably not but you never know

You can do them in the fwd Vibe if you use the e-brake. I've done it.I have a new crazy thing that I did today, and I darn near wrecked the car up really bad. It was very stupid of me now that I think about it. I have this thing where I absolutely hate speed traps. Lately, I've been seeing timing hoses stretched out across the road in a few places near me. I like to slam on the brakes when I cross them, or better yet, yank on the e-brake to drag the rear tires across them. This usually dislodges them (they're usually just taped in place to the road) or sometimes if you're lucky, you will tear or puncture them. In either case, it renders them ineffective. So today I decided to try and practice locking up the rear wheels so I can disrupt the hoses. I'm going about 55 MPH down a long hill on my way to school (it's a 25 MPH zone, spare me the speeding lectures). There's nobody immediately around so I figure I'll try and see how far up I have to pull the brake lever to lockup the rear wheels. Well, I end up accidentally pulling the lever all the way up and it got stuck there (I kept the button on the end pushed in so I could release it quickly to prevent this from happening but it didn't work because of the angle that my hand had to be at to reach around the console with the lever all the way up). The rear wheels locked up and I wasn't slowing down much. I fought with the lever a little bit then the car started sliding sideways as I went about 50 MPH down the hill. I had completly countersteered, but the car went sideways anyway. I stomped on the regular brakes as I was sliding closer and closer to a telephone pole. I managed to keep the car in my lane, but it spun around almost 180 degrees and I stopped about 10 yards short of the pole. The lead car of the oncoming traffic saw me sliding sideways and slowed down way before it approached. I quickly released the e-brake, shifted into reverse, swung the car around, then continued on in the direction that I meant to go. I didn't start to feel panicked until about a minute later as I approached the bottom of the hill. Man, that was close. Too close.Moral of the story is---don't yank the e-brake all the way on while traveling 55 MPH down a hill that is well salted. I now have a slight flat spot on both rear tires to remind me of my stupidity.

haha!! oh the beauty of e-brakes... they should be illegal to people under 25, wait never mind they are just way too much fun. However, mine is loose right now and barely even holds the car in place on level ground, very frustrating so i'm hoping either i can tighten ir up or my mechanic friend can. If the dealership found out it was loose they would be like "too many e-brake slides huh?"OOPS!-Brady

Atleast you know how to control it I would be proud of myself. When it snowed hard the other day on the way home from school, this kid in a class of mine has my favorite car ('88 monte carlo ss) He was trying to swing the back around while driving I was watchin him in my mirrors. So I decided to show off and do it. Went about 35mph then pulled the hand brake and turned the wheel to the right and tapped the brake and accel, to keep the car sideways. I was going sideways for a good 4 or 5 seconds!!! Pretty good for a front wheel drive car not meant for drifting And people say you don't learn anything useful playing cideo games! If it weren't for Gran turismo and the rally racing games I wouldn't know how to control the car as good as I can now.

A bit of practice (in a safe location of course) is always good. And can be fun! Every car will behave differently in those situations so it is a good thing to get familiar with the Vibe.

The craziest thing i did was pass a cop going full speed in my Vibe, but he never moved. Not sure if he was running radar or not, But i was around 130mph on 22 coming from Robinson Township to Weirton, and the cop was sitting at the top of the Bavington Exit. I just kept going and he never came after me. Thanks god.
