Do you "let go" your cleaning schedule in the winter?

I don't know about anyone else, but I've totally slacked on cleaning my car. I've done nohting in months. Months I tell you! There are candy wrappers everywhere, clothes all over the floor, wiper blade packages from like 2 months ago...I decided since I'm gonna have a FULL detail in the spring, I'll let it get as messy as possible, so I get my full money's worth when it gets done. Man I'm evil! Do you let your cleaning slide in the winter? Post pics of your portable pig sty!

I'm with you Mike. I don't touch my car from November until March. Then, I get a good professional detailing. I perform the touch up cleaning from April through November. Then the cycle starts all over again.

Heck no! I keep it clean all the time - but my parents own a nice heated indoor car wash, so I go there for free. Of course, I've only had the car for 3 1/2 months, so maybe I'll slack off when its not so new.P.S. - ragingfish, why do you have so much clothing in your car?

funny story: my best friend, in high school, needed to change her clothes but nowhere to go. so, she looked around in the school parking lot, no one around anywhere. so, she went ahead and changed. she must have just gotten her shirt back on when a cop pulls up, rolls down his window and gives her a warning for indecent exposure on school property! it was pretty funny. but on topic, i wash the vibe aobut once every 10 dys or so but haven't done much to the interior (vacuuming and cleaning). so the outside will look pretty nice, the inside isn't so great.

I wash my car every other week in the winter, once a week in the summer. I have rubber floor mats on the floor I take out and shake the snow off of.Only thing in the car otherwise is the snow brush/scraper. I can't stand a messy car.

I am too afraid of my locks and doors freezing up. And it seems they only salt the roads when my car is clean. As for the inside I have a 4-year-old who insist she needs to squish her muffin into everything.

I'm pretty bad about keeping it spotless. I don't have much clutter in there, but it sure needs a good vacuuming. Could also stand a wash, but in the winter I don't get a chance to do much more than hose it off (over and under) every now and then.

I keep the inside of my vehicles clean but they rarely if ever get washed between November and April. The only time it warms up is when it snows and the roads are filthy so why bother washing them.

I really let my car cleaning slip in the winter. I just washed my car for the first time yesterday since like October. This was the first day that I can remember that it was over 40 degrees and not raining. Kinda hard to wash here in the winter. When it is nice out the snow is melting so the roads are wet and dirty so by the time I got home it would be dirty again. Come April my car will get a detailing and then it is back into the regular wash cycle.

It is too cold to wash it or clean it. I haven't touched the inside since uhm.....November I think. I try to wash it whenever it isn't too cold outside but I just run it through the carwash...no detailing or drying..

ragingfish: what are those white "crumbs" on your seats ? I definitely don't keep my Vibe as clean as I do in the summer months.When I do wash my car, I don't wash it as thoroughly as I do in summer either....it's rather cold even the "heated wash bays"During summer, I wash my twice every weekend because I travel every weekend, at the destination ( my parent's house ) and my place.I probably wash my Frosty about once a month now, the floor isn't as clean as it was but it's not that bad...

I try to wash the Vibe every weekend in the winter, if not at least twice a month weather permitting of course Here are some pics of my car washed yesterday I wonder if anyone notices something different about my Vibe??? Yes that is my engine bay as of 1/24/2004! I always keep it clean

Neat discussion....I drive it through the automatic car wash every once in a while but not as often as I do in the warmer months.....when I was younger I spent alot of time detailing my cars and waxing etc ...now that I'm older I am less so inclined....I realized my car wasn't "new" to me anymore when I permitted my son to eat cheese curls in the back seat the other day....PS : Luckily the Fusion Orange paint totally hides the dirt! (Just kidding....although it isn't really too bad in that respect)

during the summer, I'm totally (removed)...during the winter I really let it go. It's a shame really, but I can't stand cold hands. Perhaps if the temperature goes above freezing this week, I'll do a little washing.I'm an embarassment to this community!

just washed the vibe. letting it sit in the garage to dry out as i reinstall my trd cai, unichip, and disable the annoying reverse beep... then i will probably vacuum it out because it's really bad (well, to me).

I also let me car get a little dirty in the winter months... up until Friday, you could only fit 2 people in my car because I moved back to college and left half of my crap in my car.

lol man ill take a pic of mine later....its bad...ashes all over the place, cigar wrappers and other **** lying around...some girls left a pair of shoes and sandals in the back, i have 2 sleeping bags in the car, and 2 burn marks on the door o yea, not to mention all the mud and dirt. Im glad i got the rubber mats...

I wash it when the weather permits. Saturday was decent (almost 50 deg. F), so I hand washed it (My fusion orange was turning frosty white from all the salt on the road).
