Completely replaced my audio system

Post by Dunkie22 »

I have the moon and tunes package. First I replaced the speakers (the originals were so flimsy..paper!). Then, as much as I hated to, I replaced my radio with the 6 CD changer. Yes, the speakers were an improvement, but the sound was still muddled. It still was not what I expected..so now...I have Diamond speakers up front with the tweeters...Excelon (Kenwood) speakers in the back..have the Dynamat material in my doors, and a high end stereo (Eclipse). Finally, after big bucks..I have incredible sound. When I had my VW, I just replaced my stereo and did not change the speakers and had great sound. This cost me around $1200 to get the right sound.Duncan

Sounds about right. As long as you appreciate it, no problems!

I fail to understand why everyone gets the moon and TUNES and then removes the TUNES part. It makes no sense!

i have heard a lot of horror stories about aftermarket sunroofs. i would like to get new speaks, but the damn amp is stopping me, since i don't want to buy a new one, and i still have the factory HU. that is a lot of money you spent on speakers, i would hope it sounds good!

I bought most of my stuff on e-bay at a discount. I like it. The problem w/ the M&T was there wasn't enough low end and kick on the thing.

IE, if you get aftermarket speakers, you can get a resistor that'll bring it to 2 Ohms..so you don't lose any power. As for the aftermarket sunroof..had one on my Ford Probe. You noticed after about eight years, little dents on the edges where the roof was sagging a little..but it worked really well!
