Cluth Pedal too close to the Dead Pedal

Post by R@@MPID »

I don't know if any one has this problem, I do.I have an E foot width, which means that my shoes are on the really wide side. My "problem" (I'm re-adapting my foot position) is that if I put my foot on the clutch pedal like I did when I had my Sunfire, I can't depress it all the way because the dead pedal get in the way.I find that its maybe too close to the dead pedal.I mean don't get me wrong I love that the dead pedal is there and when I get to really try out the cruise control, it will be great to rest my left foot properly.just want to here all your thoughts on this subject.

Perhaps the Dead Pedal can be removed. The dead pedal on my honda died (ha ha), rusted out and it was just bolted there. Let's check it out. Get back to you.

My feet aren't as wide, but I have ran into that problem a few times. It looks like it would be easy to remove it.

It cant be that bad or maybe not. I have a size 13E and I have no problem with the dead pedal my problem is with the brake pedal. The other day I was down shifting to merge on the express way and when I went for the clutch I got the brake and the clutch together. I slowed down fast, something I did not want to do at that time. Ive done it 3 time in one week so far. Oh well what can you do.
