http://gallery.genvibe.com/gal..._3144These rims were on the Vibe GT back during the concept stage. But for some reason or another they dropped them. I latter saw a pic of the Vibe GXP on genvibe equipped with the same rims. Does anyone know anything about these rims? like where to get them. who makes them.
They are Millie Miglia Evo5's - the first concept and Vibe FX (and GXP) concept have the same wheels. That's where I got to liking them and ended up purchasing them for my Vibe as well. You can obtain them through tirerack.com - or other resources.Check out these links for more pics:http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id ... ad?id=6054
thanks that is a big help. what size rims did you get, and what size tires to match. Have you had any trouble with this affecting the moon roof or anything like that. my next big question is do you think this improves performance. and does it really make bumps in the road more noticable, and did it change the height of your car. i know as the rim gets larger the tire gets smaller but does it not still change it a little, Thanks Train

I have the 17"x8" wheels with Yokohama AVS-ES100 tires (215/50WR-17).Quote »Have you had any trouble with this affecting the moon roof or anything like that. Nope - this was and still is a concern for some members with the moonroof and 17"+ wheels but I have yet to hear of a real confirmed incident where the moonroof shattered or cracked in relation to this. The sheer number of people that have the moonroof and 17" wheels with high-performance tires and have had the problem is almost non-existent.Quote »my next big question is do you think this improves performance.Oh yeah! I'm sure others can confirm this for me.. Handling and grip (with high-performance/summer tires) is tremendously improved when compared to stock all-seasons.Quote »and does it really make bumps in the road more noticable,If you don't modify your suspension, personally I thought the roughness of the road was not intensified much more than stock.Quote »and did it change the height of your car. i know as the rim gets larger the tire gets smaller but does it not still change it a little,Ultimately it should not change the height of the vehicle that you may notice, however it may be me, but I do notice a very slight increase in height with the aftermarket wheels/tires compared to stock.I ran my 17" aftermarket wheels/tires for a few months with the stock suspension. After lowering my Vibe with aftermarket springs (minimal with 1.5" drop) makes a great improvement in looks and especially in the handling. The new springs with the aftermarket wheels/tires is a great combo! Well worth it.Quote »what about the lug nuts did you keep the stock ones or purchase new onesI ordered from tirerack.com - they included the appropriate lug nuts for the wheels (you cannot use the stock lug nuts).
Priced out from Tirerack.com, including shipping, mounting, balancing, locking lug nuts - you'll probably look around $1100 - $1300. That would really depend on the tires you end up choosing, etc. The tire/wheel packages are shipped ready to install. There is no need to have a shop install them if you think you can handle the swap yourself.
I could never figure out why sunroof and 17" wheels were never included in a package together. It was one or the other... weird. If no one is having probs with the glass cracking then what made GM designers think there would be?
