navigation system screen cleaning

Post by onick@juno.com »

Various car washes etc., thought they were donig me a favor by trying to vlean the navigation screen. It is now smeared with whatever was used to try to clean it. What is the best way to clean this screen at this point and in the future???

You may want to try computer screen wipes. Several of the wood polish folks make the stuff, especially for electronics and computers. The stuff is supposed to help eliminate static also - I've had mixed results. Also, the computer accessory manufactrer, Fellows makes them.

Make sure whatever you used is approved for LCD screens!I find a cotton ball moistened with plain old water works great on my computer LCD display. Even took off alcohol residue from when my friend cleaned it with a pre-moistened lens wipe for her glasses.
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

We use these same techniques for the computer LCD screens at work - I would do the same for the LCD screen on the Nav system:http://pcsupport.about.com/lib...a.htm

Hello, I am new to the VIBE world but I use PDA cleaner. They are cheap and are little towlettes used to clean the delicate screen of a Personal Digital Assistant....Try them it works great...RS.
