I bought a set of sportline lowering springs and haven't installed them yet. I have a few questions that maybe you guys could help me with.1: Is it a fairly easy install, could i do it myself and if so what special tools would i nee other than the typical sockets and wrenches.2: what could i expect as far as ride comfort, handling, and if anyone knows what the "G" rating... as of now with the 17"ers i read it was somewhere around 1 or like .9....3: will it effect my gas mileage at all (wind resistance)4: and should it affect the sway of the car when the wind blows at 70 mph.thanks for all suggestions and advice.

With a drop the car will be less affected by lateral wind

Quote, originally posted by drummerdude »3: will it effect my gas mileage at all (wind resistance)I haven't noticed a real difference. Quote, originally posted by drummerdude »4: and should it affect the sway of the car when the wind blows at 70 mph.being lower to the ground there is little sway. try the on ramp on your local interstate before and after you change the springs you'll see when you hit 50 mph just take your time and you might want to call the local parts store (auto zone ect..) they changed my springs on the struts for $15.00 each. thats if you don't feel safe using a spring compressor.
I just installed my sportline springs on Sunday. The whole install took 3 hours, but we weren't exactly rushing. The car looks great, and handles good to. I have noticed that I am bouncing in my seat more to compensate for the car not bouncing as much (if that makes sense). I am very happy, but I think that my struts didn't go together quite right, because 1 of 10 bumps I get a muffled thump from the front. Not too loud , and doesn't sound too serious. I will get my machanic to double check his work later.
I work in a speed shop. Check it out if you are ever in Edmonton.http://www.jbspowercentre.comK&N Filter, Just the panel I am too cheap to go for the CAI.Magnaflow Cat-BackVibrant Strut Tower Bar (Blue)Eibach Sport-Line Springs
The ride isn't affected that much at all. For example, my wife couldn't even tell the difference! I was afraid she would be like, "This thing bounces! Tak'em off!" But she actually loves the way it looks and rides!
Thanks for all the info!! very helpful. I think i will have my auto parts store change the actual springs as i have never even seen a strut compressor except for on the internet. thanks to all for your input.
